Robin, thanks for sharing Deb’s laundry room. It is so cute! I am always looking for ideas especially since I am trying to make my new house like a home. I only have a closet for my washer and drawer but this has inspired me to add a few vintage touches so when I open the doors it doesn’t seem like a closet.

Love these ideas. I only have a laundry closet and recently hung a cute basket and one of the same signs as Debra . Hunter thought I was crazy. Confirmation that I was doing something right!!

Deb would never mention, much less give a walk through her
laundry room. That’s a cool room! Again, it is a joy to see you and Deb carry the one who once carried you.

Happy Birthday to Deb! I love the Ball jars filled with clothespins and spools and buttons. I have my grandmother’s Ball jars and have never known what to use them for, love this idea I would love a matching dryer to my 3 year-old- front-loading washing machine… the dryer is easily 20 years old.

If I redid my laundry room I would…
1. Add floor to ceiling cabinets on one wall. That will house my 3 seperate sorting baskets in one big section. Areas for shoes and coats etc.
2. Add detergent and softeners to pretty containers and fabric sheets in a pretty glass container
3. Lighting is a must! It is really dark back there since it doesn’t have a window.
4. Paint.

My current laundry room is in the basement of the house we're renting. There are so many things I'd change, it's difficult to know where to begin. I guess shelving/cabinets for some usable storage/workspace. Also, I've sent two emails to your rrg723 edress. Did you receive either of them yet? Your sister’s laundry room is adorable! I love the colors. I just redid my laundry room last summer in a coffee theme, using dark country colors. (St. Michael does the laundry at our casa, so I went a little more masculine!) The walls are a caramelly color with black and red accents. (The colors and theme carries into the powder room since it’s off the laundry room. The powder room mirror sports a frame of coffee spoons!) It’s very fun, and I love it!

I love the idea of putting the detergent in another container….. I hate my big Costco detergent containers….eyesore….yeah!!! New Idea. Those creative juices in your family…..they don’t come easy to all of us.
