Update on Reba! (I’d love to give an update on Barbara Jean but she’s-he’s disappeared.) I’m heartbroken about Barbara Jean but to be honest our first kitty love is Reba…and The Husband has come a long way from the day he said: “We’re NOT feeding that cat!” He’s been working on taming her since last autumn.
Notice the little fishy ~ Well guess who’s holding the little fishy pole???
You guessed it! The Husband is playing with Reba…Sooo, let’s get this straight: He feeds her… He sits with her night after night until she lets him pet her…He gives her tiny fish shaped treats…He plays with her when he gets home from work…
And she loves that little fishy…
Loves it I tell you…
I got carried away with these pictures ’cause I thought she was so darn cute…but the point is that The Husband loves this kitty…
And she loves him. She sits close to him and makes biscuits on the side walk…that’s what we call it when kittys knead with their little paws…purring, eyes closed and making biscuits just for The Husband!
She walks in circles around him as he pets her little back…
See her front little paws? She’s making biscuits while keeping her eye on The Husband…
Okay…now, remember when I told you I thought she was pregnant? Well, she got suddenly smaller. Can you see her little nipple? Sorry but I’m going to need you to get a closer look. I need kitty advice here…
I’m guessin this is a first for you…have you ever seen a close up of a kitty’s nipple on a blog? Well, I’d like your opinion…do you think she’s nursing or is this how kitty’s nips are supposed to look? Do you think she had kittens and they…oh the horror, didn’t make it? We can’t find the kittens. We’ve looked everywhere…Any suggestions Peeps?
We’d love to find kittens if she has them…but bottom line is… we love our Reba…

What a love story! What beautiful pictures. (I went to Wal-mart yesterday to ask why my camera keeps saying it’s full. My digital camera is now obsolete. They don’t make cards for it anymore.)
I’m thinking Reba has her baby (babies) hidden somewhere and she’s running back to feed them. They probably won’t follow her around until…..I don’t know…a few days after they’re born? Weeks? Could she have them under your house somewhere?
She looks so content. What a beautiful face.

Reba seems to trust you so if she has kitties, one day she will bring them to you so she can show them off…….and of course she will want you to feed them. How nice of you to take such good care of her.

Such sweet pictures!! I am no expert when it comes to cats. But based on the close ups she does appear to be nursing and that tummy looks much smaller

oh my goodness. only a matter of time before reba makes it INSIDE! Good graceous. Our family cant resist an animal.
Awww… what an adorable cat (and the fact that your husband is occupied with entertaining her, too!). Does she play with other things? The cat I used to have refused all forms of cat toy, but would play for hours with a broken pen, or chase a laser pointer all around the house.

I vote YES Reba has kittens somewhere! We have had several cats “adopt us” over the years and a few times we looked after strays and ended up with little surprises! (lIke the kind Reba has hiding right now) They are probably not too far away – maybe hidden under a porch somewhere… She is really beautiful!

After growing up with a cat that had 3 litters, and having a friend that was a cat breeder I’m pretty positive that she is nursing. Does she leave for long periods? For the first while she wouldn’t leave her babies for very long as they would need her for warmth and food. Hope her babies are okay. Do you know where she goes when she is not with you? How about making a nice basket or box for her close by the house but tucked out of the way with some old towels in it, put some food near there and she might just bring her babies to that as a nesting box.

A year late…. but oh my goodness! She is just beautiful!! I love Reba, too.
