Spinach-Artichoke-Alfredo Dip!

by Robin on June 23, 2009

This is the best spinach type dip I’ve ever eaten. Okay, there, I said it. And it’s true. For a long time I quit making spinach/artichoke dip and used the amazing Publix dips. I do love the Publix brand dips  but when I saw this recipe, I had to try it…I was overjoyed Peeps!

This recipe is different from others I’ve done in that it has a jar of Alfredo Sauce…I used red pepper alfredo sauce…yummmmmmm.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

4 cloves garlic

1 (10 ounce ) package frozen chopped spinach ~ thawed, drained…I pretty much squeeze all the moisture out !

1 (10 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 (app. 10 ounce) jar Alfredo style pasta sauce(I used red pepper alfredo sauce)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese- softened

*Preheat oven to 350*

*Place garlic in small baking dish wrapped in foil. Bake in oven for 20-30 minutes, until soft. Remove from heat. When cool enough to touch, squeeze softened garlic from skins. (It will be soft and a bit mushy) ***Don’t eliminate this step…it adds so much flavor.

*Mix all ingredients and put into a 8×8 inch baking dish (or something close to this!)

*Cover and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cheeses are melted and bubbly! Serve warm with crackers or french bread slices…YUMALICIOUS!

I got the recipe from All Recipes and just changed a couple of things. It was a BIG hit with my fam!  It would be quick and easy to serve at your July 4th party!

Thank you for this yummy recipe! I’m allergic to mayo, and most of the time artichoke dips have that ingredient in it and I miss out. This one sounds so good, can’t wait to try it!

Blessings,
Marie

This is one of my favorite recipes. We make this almost every time we go to a potluck and people love it. I just wish it wasn’t so high in calories LOL.
