On the Fourth of July I made this fun Southern Living recipe…Over The Moon Banana Pudding…the recipe calls for these:

moon-pies1

I looked everywhere for chocolate Moon Pies and eventually had to order them from Amazon!  Cracker Barrel only sells boxes of Vanilla Moon Pies…oh well.

Here’s where you can find the recipe from : Southern Living~ I stuck to the recipe with this which is not something I normally do…It wasn’t your basic banana pudding. It had sour cream mixed in the pudding and believe it or not…it was yumalicious! (I made it the day before and it was perfect!)

It’s so wrong that so many people can’t get Moon Pies. :D I live one city over from where Moon Pies are made. They come in many flavors besides chocolate and vanilla. Banana is my son’s favorite. They come in snack size and double decker. I don’t know if you’re in the south, but if you are have you checked your Wal Mart to see if they have them? I’m going to have to try that recipe. YUM!!!

So yummy looking! Itching now to try a moon pie :) Did you make a little sign for your bowl for the pudding? It is sooo cute, and looks like it belongs with the bowl :)
