I signed up for the Thomas Nelson’s Blogger Book Review program. I love Thomas Nelson, I’ll just tell you that up front. But I promise to be honest about any books I read and review for them. This one is my first…and it’s a delightful start!
I just finished the book The Noticer by Andy Andrews. This is a great little book Peeps. Full of wisdom and thought provoking solutions to a myriad of issues. The main character, Jones (”Not Mr. Jones, just Jones”) is somewhat of a mystery. He comes in and out of the lives of people in this coastal community helping them deal with issues like how to choose a mate, divorce, direction in life, finances and out living our usefulness…If you don’t see yourself in one or more of these people, you’ll certainly see someone close to you reflected here.
Fresh perspective abounds throughout The Noticer. I filled a couple of journal pages with thoughts I’ll revisit another time. This is an easy read with lots of “take-aways”. My favorite one: “Every life is either in crisis, coming out of crisis or headed for crisis”. Don’t let that unsettle ya, after a few hours with Jones, that didn’t seem so discouraging, even to me~ Love to you Peeps and happy reading!
