Charming Houses, Trees with Faces and Beauty and The Beast!

by Robin on October 13, 2009

The other day The Husband and I were stuck in traffic on this cute little street! I just happened to have my trusty D90. I loooovvveee that camera and can hardly go anywhere without it, anyhoo, I made The Husband roll down the window and I took some pictures of these charming homes…some needed a little work. But I know charm when I see it!

Homes out and about

Trimming the enormous bushes wouldn’t hurt…and might help!

Pretty Houses

This one looked unassuming but went on forever in the back…lots of magnolias and acres and acres of land!

White House

I’m a sucker for white frame houses with black shutters…but I fancy red doors!

Little White House

I’m picturing sweet tea and cake served on this front porch! But then again…I picture cake EVERYWHERE!

Pretty House

No words just love for this house…

Beautiful White House

How would you like this tree in your yard!? If a tree had a face…this is probably what it would look like! Do you suppose he’s whistling Dixie?

Tree Fairy!

What about this guy? What do you suppose he’s sayin!?

Face on a tree

This reminded me of … Beauty and The Beast…

Now this is a small town gas station sign, haven’t seen one of these in ages!

And finally, I couldn’t resist this red door!!!

Red Door

There you have it! I’m linking to Outdoor Wednesday today where you’ll find loads of gorgeous photos of the great big beautiful outdoors! TTFN!

The trees are killer cool. (Im thinking of just adorning some in our local park) :) Hope they wont nab me for “vandilism” … uggh… better think on this one i guess.

If you have a moment — I would love you to stop by and say hi!

True sign of an artist/writer. You see beauty in obscure places. Probably in overlooked people too.

Love you.

RED anything is my favorite. I so love porches. Love the wrap around kind.
I like that you had hubby stop so you could take a photo. I’m all the time doing the same thing. Sometimes, he even has to turn around and go back. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the house tour. They are charming houses. I can picture children having a sleep over on those porches, especially the first house.

I loved the houses! The last one made me think: do they put the bars on the windows to keep people OUT or IN!!!!!!!!!!!:):) LOOOOOVED the balcony on the first house! And you are right, if the second house would trim the bushes it would be beautiful! Thanks for sharing this!!! Hugs, Pinky

Love the houses! I have seen those face kits for trees and when I spruce up the yard and garden in the spring, I think I am going to get a couple to add just a touch of whimsy.

Thank you for the tour!
