Christmas Ornament Wreath

by Robin on December 10, 2009

It’s Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch and I’m doing a tablescape from my daughter Stephanie’s house and a BONUS!

Also, check out Home for the Holidays over at Southern Hospitality where you’ll find loads of holiday inspiration!

I’m doing a visit at my daughter Stephanie and my SIL Jon’s house today! (Oh and my very first granddaughter, Elliot lives here too :) I want to show you Stephie’s dinning room and we’re doing an EASY wreath too! Keep scrolling down!

Here’s Steph’s cozy dinning room. She loves her Johnson Brother’s Friendly Village dishes. My mom used those dishes on Thanksgiving and Christmas for as long as I remember. Both of my married daughters have these dishes. The thing I love about Friendly Village is that they can be dressed up or made more casual.

I so love the color of Steph’s dinning room, Spiced Cider by Sherwin Williams…

Here’s the BONUS! See this adorable wreath!? We got the idea from Eddie Ross, have you seen Eddie Ross’s website? Ya gotta go! He did this wreath last December.

We used 60 balls. Steph got them at Walmart for cheap!

This is the easiest craft…you simply use a wire coat hanger and thread the balls on…there are some types of balls that require that you use a glue gun to keep the tops in. See Eddie’s instruction!

Oh and one more thing…I thought I’d throw in a photo of Stephie and Jon’s mantle… cute huh? I love that pine cone garland!

Ellie’s been enjoying all the decking of  the halls!

I adore the color of your daughter’s room…the mouldings are exactly what I would love in my dininbg room. Can you tell I am green with envy?? *smile*
I loved this room’s design for the holidays…the pine garland is expecially pretty.

I didn’t go all out like I have in years past but still enjoy decorating so much and seeing what others have done is always a treat!
Thank you so much for sharing with us!

I have a similar color in my dining room! Can’t remember the name, but I’m pretty sure it is also Sherwin Williams. How pretty everything looks and that wreath fits right in. I love seeing those little faces seeing all the lights and decorations for the first time!

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Beautiful. The warmth it exudes comes all the way through the screen! I see more of your legacy, its in the homey and stylish decorations of your daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.

I have seen the cost of the ornament wreaths at the store… this is such an inexpensive and fun way to achieve a very personalized wreath of your own!

Yep, daughter certainly inherited Mom’s decorating taste and talent. It looks fabulous-o! And Ellie, well, she is just downright smoochable!

I keep seeing this ornament wreath everywhere this year. I guess I am going to have to break down and try to make one! I have everything out and ready to make some coasters, like you featured in your post a few days ago. I found some really beautiful tissue paper, which I am hoping will work as well as the napkins. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
