Eat Cake!

by Robin on December 13, 2009

I found these wooden pictures at Kohl’s on sale. I liked them but I didn’t love them. So I decided to do a little somin-somin with them..hummmm, life-is-not-a-matter-of-mil

A can or two of spray paint, some chalkboard paint and a few of those delightful chalk pens and Waaa-laa!

I wanted to also give a big thumbs up to Pioneer Woman’s Best Chocolate Cake Ever! I tried it on my son’s birthday and for the love of pete I nearly had to make 2 batch’s of icing since I ate so much of it before I put it on the cake! This sucker is delicious and nutritious! (Well one outta two anyhoo!)

If you have anything “chalkboard” and haven’t tried out these Chalk Pens…well, run to Amazon and order a few! They are so much fun!

Add a little easel and a couple of chalk pens to this easy craft and it would make a fun Christmas gift!

Enjoy your moments today Peeps! I’ll be linking to The Chalkboard Paint Party!

Isn’t that the best cake? I’ve made it several times using PW’s recipe. I haven’t met a person who doesn’t love it! By any chance did you get to go to her book signing? I was lucky enough to attend one in St. Louis. It was so much fun! She is so gracious and beautiful in person!
I enjoy reading you blog so much! Thank you for sharing!

I love my white board in my office. Really keeps me focused. Hey, I read where Pioneer Woman’s Cookbook has made it to the best sellers list!

Amazing! Your imagination never ceases to surprise me. I think Emily would LOVE LOVE LOVE those pens. She is forever stealing my dry erase markers and writing on the bathroom mirrors with them. Great gift idea, Robin! Now I just gotta find something to turn into a chalkboard. :)

The pens are difficult to erase without one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! If you dampen the M.E. the chalk pens come off pretty easy! xo
