Adorable Felt Heart Wreath

by Robin on January 24, 2010

Random.org picked Lizzette’s comment number from the Amazon Gift Card Giveaway last week! Congratulations Lizzette!

Thanks to everyone who commented with book ideas, I’m going to do a post and list them in case you need to add to your list for 2010! You guys came through big time with some great book leads!

Felt Heart-Wreath

I’ve seen this idea all over the place but when I saw Amy’s versionĀ  at The Idea Room I had to try it!

Super easy…here’s what you’ll need:

*Styrofoam heart

*3/4 yard of felt on the bolt

*Straight pins

Find a 3″ circle and have at it!

Red-felt

80 Circles later…what made me think I could do this with my arthritic right hand I don’t know…I paid dearly.

Materials-for-Felt-heart-wr

This part was fun and almost mesmerizing…fold your little circle and put a pin in the corner…fill up that empty heart.

Woo girl….you’re a party fiend!!! Love this wreath, so much so, that I could keep one up year’round. Looks fab.

Glad you could Mi4M :)

Great idea. It looks wonderful. When you mentioned the arthritis, I nodded to acknowledge such. Cutting 2 layers or more at once might have been an option. My hands are rebelling at me after many years of handwork. It makes me so sad that at an early age of 59, I am having to limit my sewing & crafting.

Beckie, I’m sorry about your hands :(
I folded the felt so I cut 4 layers at once, it was harder but took less time. Not sure which is better or if it’s a toss up!!!

Adorable…and I know my hands would be hurting too. I would love to see it done in red velvet or red lace too. What a wonderful craft idea:) The girls and I only did felt valentines w/messages at the sleepover. Wish I had seen this idea before…..those young things could have cut out all my circles;)

I saw this on the idea room and went straight to the craft store..lol. It’s so cute and easy. I wrapped some of the felt around my poor finger while I was cutting…lol. Helped a little ;) Amber
