Chocolate Covered Strawberries

by Robin on February 4, 2010

Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to do Chocolate Covered Strawberries for your Sweetie! Anyone can do these, they’re quick and easy and they won’t completely kill your New Years resolution to eat better!

seriously-cute-berry-2I use Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate chips…just melt some chocolate and dip the (completely dry) strawberries. Let the excess chocolate drip back into bowl…

then put strawberries on parchment paper to dry. Drizzle some melted candy coating over the berries if you want!

These babies are kinda romantic aren’t they?

My husband left for a two week business trip to Europe last Monday.
On the Sunday before he left I made chocolate dipped strawberries.
Your right the and a nice romantic ending to a meal or a special evening
snack!

My favorites! The key is DRY strawberries like you said. I also saw on the Littlest Chocolatiers the idea of dipping peppers in chocolate. They put a sweet/spicy cream on the inside of them and then dipped them in chocolate. I’m trying it this year. Just a few because I can’t get my head around whether they would taste great or not.

Tip of the day ~* To keep strawberries crisp, fresh and “snappy”, place

Jenn…this did a lot! I want to say 30 but honestly I’m not sure. I was eating some as they dried which would mess up the count!!!
