You know I’m doing this 365 project and upload a photo every day on Flickr. There is so much inspiration on Flickr, one thing people love to do is the “Cookie Splash”! All the cool people do it!!!
Being a cookie monster, I had to try out a cookie splash…
I’ve come to a conclusion about the proverbial cookie splash…
You can tell a whole heck of a lot about a person by how their cookie splash goes…here’s what I mean,
*Was it easy?(This tells loads about your skill level)
*How many times did it take to get a good shot?(This gives a hint about your hand-eye coordination )
*Did you feel nervous or giddy or nothing at all when you dropped that “cookie” into the milk?(This is hands down an indication of your personality. Are you a dare-devil or an overly-careful person. Or just don’t care either way 
*How’d you feel about the mess?(If you’re neat and tidy you would have hated the mess or, if you’re more relaxed you’d have a: ‘who cares…just have fun’ kind of attitude!)
I used an egg for my splash and for the-love-of-Pete, I did it 15 times…I was, for some reason, as nervous about dropping the egg into the milk as I might be to say….jump out of an airplane.
And as for the mess…ohhhh, I thought my eyes were gonna exploded out of my head every time I had to clean up the milky mess…
So, I suppose my cookie splash confirmed what I already knew about myself…I’m a nervous, overly careful not -so-skillful (pretend)photo-taker, who has little or no hand-eye coordination and nearly implodes when there’s a mess in my line of sight.

The mess would have driven me crazy, I would have struggled with why people do it to begin with, and the egg, well the egg could have broken and that would have been a whole ‘nother story! However….the cup, the cookies, and the pail of flowers in the picture – those make me happy. Pretty things always make me happy – messes, not so much. I really like to have fun though and laughing is one of the very best things I do so maybe I should rethink the cookie drop?

Cookie splash? I’m feeling so out of the loop….But I sure do love the daisies.
Looks fun! With so much seriousness and stress in life, I think this could be good therapy. Maybe I’ll try it one day, when I can find the time. =)
Oh Robin, its all in the perspective. See the boys would tell you the bigger the splash and mess, the better. To them you are a rockstar cookie splasher!
I on the other hand, would fair about equal to you and the mess alone would send me over the edge

This looks like fun, albeit messy. What is a cookie splash? I’m from the original Cookie Monster generation, so I’m not in the loop about this particular form of coolness.

Never have heard of a cookie splash??? Is it just to get a picture? Anyway, the MESS would have made me nuts and I am so bad I might not have even DONE it because of the mess, that’s how bad I am!!!! Love the daisies!!!! It is finally SUNNY and getting warm here today!!!!! YIPPEE!!!! I will be going outside soon to start the yard CLEAN UP! It is a real mess from all the storms we have had….and the last 4 days of rain. I am READY for some SPRING and warmth!!!! XO, Pinky And happy Tuesday to you too, sweets!

I haven’t heard of the “cookie splash”, but this certainly piqued my curiousity. Can’t say that I would try it….the mess would make me crazy and my photographic skills would probably require me to attempt it 30 times before I got the shot. So, I think I will live vicariously through your cookie splash. Does the coolness rub off on me by doing this??
