I’m so excited about this post!
I finally tried Home Depot’s latest wonder.

Behr has come out with a paint & primer in one! Oh my goodness! Anyone who has painted over red or painted stained furniture will jump for sheer joy over this paint!

I had a color in mind and honestly I’ve been looking for this color for over a year. I’ve tried samples of bunches of colors and I’ve always been disappointed.
I went to my local Home Depot with this Easter egg and this gorgeous vase.
I gave them to the brilliant technician in the paint department. She took lots of time with me and although she couldn’t match the vase and egg because of the speckles on the egg and the sheen on the vase she pulled colors that were close. We found a perfect match but the more I looked at it I could tell it was too dark. So she mixed it at 50% …too light. She went 25% deeper and we tried again…BINGO! I could not believe how much time she took and how great of an eye for color she has…please look…

The Husband is helping me re-do my Fun-Room and we stole a couple of shelves from the basement. I got so excited I kept painting things!

The Husband wasn’t certain he believed the paint would actually cover without bunches of coats…
After one good coat and a second lite coat…The Husband is a believer.

I also painted a chair…and people, I’m not done. This is the BEST paint I’ve ever used and I’ve tried all the top Brand-Names.
(Almost finished with my Fun-Room! Can’t wait to show you !)

Behr Paint & Primer…you gotta try this on your next project Peeps. Seriously.

I’ll be linking to a few blog-parties this week…

Good to know that the commercials for this paint hold up to what you found in using it. We are painting our bedroom so I think we will try this paint. Anything that cuts down my time of having to move furniture for several coats of paint is worth it.
Beautiful job!
Your blog is great! I always use Behr paint…can’t wait to try this. Thank you!
You have me so excited to see the rest Robin! I am so drawn to varying shades of this very blue! Amazing you found a color expert who stuck with you to get to the right shade… that store will do well by her.
Your fun room is looking so inviting that I don’t think I would want to leave, except maybe to enter the kitchen for some of your yummy cookies or cakes

I agree, this paint is fabulous! We remodeled our house 2 years ago and did everything with Behr.
Will we get a tour of this room soon??
wow!
you aren’t kidding! this is so much better then sliced bread.
that table is dreamy with all the details. and i am sure, those shelves weren’t the easiest to paint. i think sometimes the straight line stuff is harder. it shows my painting flaws. ha! {at least for me they do}

Behr’s Paint with Primer is pure genius. It’s an understatement when I say I hate painting. It’s way too much work for me to put on primer and then a coat or two or three thus the lack of motivation or desire to do any form of painting. I always wondered why they didn’t create a paint that had primer in it already. Almost resorted to mixing my concoction until this came out (Should’ve had the insight to place patent on this idea. Dang). I painted my wall over the weekend this beautiful morrocan desert color and it is simply gorgeous. Cut the paint time in half too. Definitely impressed and looking forward to buying more.
IS THERE A OUTDOOR PAINT AND PRIMER?
Robert…there IS! Behr makes an outdoor paint with primer! Check it out at The Home Depot!
