It’s Friday! I spent hours on end yesterday with the remainder of my Behr Paint and Primer. I was in a freenzy Peeps…I painted 2 end tables, 1 sofa table, 2 wooden candlesticks, and a big serving tray! I can’t wait to show you! Whew. I love that paint. Love it I tell ya.
Last week I made some scrumptious Banana Bread. Everyone has a recipe for this but this one I picked up at Starbucks last year when they were handing out their “secret recipes”! I baked the Starbucks Oatmeal Cookies HERE. But just got around to trying the banana bread…of course I doubled the walnuts and added loads of chocolate chips. I wanted it to be really “healthy” you know!
Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 1/8 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp buttermilk (I used regular milk)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 large ripe bananas~mashed
3/4 cup chopped walnuts for inside the bread
1/2 cup chopped walnuts for on top (I may have used more
)
3 big handfuls semi-sweet chocolate chips
Pre heat over to 325* Grease and flour loaf pan.
Blend flour, baking soda and salt …set aside
Mix egg, sugar and oil until combined…add the flour mixture. When blended add the milk, vanilla and mashed bananas and mix until combined.
Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.
Pour into loaf pan.
Top batter with remaining walnuts.
Bake 45 – 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out pretty clean.
Cool for 10 minutes if you can

Leave off the walnuts and you have yourself a deal! (Never cared for the taste and now that I have braces they are a definite no-no). However, never ever hurts to double the chocolate. LOL Love and hugs to you this weekend Robin (or is that aka The Behr)
