Bloom! Great Letters at Hobby Lobby!

by Robin on April 13, 2010

Hobby Lobby has the cutest cut out letters! (And this week they’re on sale!)

DSC_0082You could paint them but I wanted to use my favorite thing in all the world…Mod Podge!

Trace and cut out the letters on some pretty paper…the card-stock doesn’t work as well as the thinner papers.

I painted the sides and backs of the letters before gluing the paper letters onto the wooden letters!

I like to add a bit of grungy depth to the letters so I take a watercolor pencil and outline…

Now take a damp q-tip and smudge the watercolor line. I kinda smudge all over the letter.

I used the glue gun to adhere the letters to a piece of chubby rick-rack!

Hi there,
Great minds think alike, we both used Heart and Home to describe our blogs….
Love your “bloom” – that’s very cute. I can think of all kinds of fun ways to use those letter. Alas, no Hobby Lobby or big craft store around here. Ah well, it’s probably for the best. I don’t need to bring home one more thing!
Have a great week. Thanks for visiting from Blogfrog!

Those letters are adorable! I’ll have to look for them the next time I’m in which I am sure will be soon. My husband likes to joke that the car drives there automatically because I go there so much. :) Anyway, these are done up super cute and the ric-rac is fun!

How cute! They only have basic font type letters at Michaels {we don’t have Hobby Lobby here}, so this is very cool! Visiting from Make It Yours Day. : )
