I’ve seen these babies on loads of blogs lately but I had to try them myself! They’re Beach Bags made out of place mats!
I got mine at the dollar store!
I had an old fabric belt that I used as the handles for the blue bag, but just cut a piece of canvas for the pink one.
And I covered it with cute pink trim!
Sew the handles on first…then sew the place mats right sides together.
Turn and iron!
These would also make good bags for books. I’m always schlepping paperbacks to the used book store!
Or make one for each little one and fill with fun things to do in the car on your way to the beach!!!
I so love cheap and easy, don’t you!?!?!

Those are adorable! I’ve been planning a trip to the new Dollar Tree near me. Hope they have some cute placemats…my 15 yr old would love a wardrobe of these.:)
