It’s Flashback Friday and I thought I’d pull out a fun recipe from last July!
It’s for banana pudding!
I’ve been enjoying Mini Moon Pies over the past few days since it’s Summer and all! (Are Moon Pies simply a Southern United States thing or does everyone love these little babies???) Anyhoo, the Moon Pies made me think of this yummy recipe from Southern Living…

Banana Pudding that calls for these!

Over The Moon Banana Pudding
*2 (4.6 ounce ) pkgs. Cook and serve vanilla pudding mix
*4 cups milk
*1 (8ounce) container of sour cream
*8 Moon Pies-Chocolate flavor cut into eighths
*1 (8 ounce) container of frozen whipped topping, thawed
Cook pudding mix and 4 cups of milk in saucepan according to package directions. Remove pan from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Whisk in sour cream; let stand until pudding thickens.
Pour half of pudding into a 2 quart baking dish. Layer about 40 Moon Pie wedges evenly over pudding. Top evenly with banana slices and remaining half of pudding. Top with whipped topping. Arrange remaining sandwich wedges around outer edge of dish. Cover and chill at least 2 hours or overnight!

I’ll be linking to Foodie Friday…loads of great recipe ideas over there!

That looks interesting enough to try. I love vanilla wafers so it’s hard to imagine banana pudding without it!

I’m using you to throw my kids through a loop. I made the pie last week – I will make this today…..thanks for bringing some creativity into my life.
Absolutely LOVE the ankle bracelets. Will try those too. So good for me to do something new.
I grew up here in Pennsylvania and my mom used to put moon pies in our lunches but they were called Scooter Pies. We loved them…they were a huge treat.
