Happy Monday!
I know you’re sick of hearing about this project but it’s hard for me to think of anything else right now. I mean, with the floor refinishing and all the painting here’s a peek into our downstairs…
Friday morning, just when I was about to start painting the den, I decided first to repair a little hole in the dinning room wall
Then I discovered I didn’t have anymore of the paint I used 6 years ago to paint the dinning room. So…I grabbed my go-to Behr Ultra Paint with Primer and started repainting.
The Husband says this was all part of my evil plan. But he can’t prove it.
He started sanding the floors on Friday night and I started painting the foyer.

We worked all weekend and…
~Dinning room is painted, trim too!

~Kitchen and dinning room floors are done.
~Foyer is done.
~One wall in the den is done!
This week…
*I’m finishing the den painting, including painting my red brick fireplace…can’t wait to get to that! And we’ve (The Husband) removed the crown moldings to change them just a bit…can’t wait to show you!
*This weekend…We’ll move all the furniture into the kitchen/dinning room and The Husband will refinish the floors in the rest of the downstairs!
By Tuesday July 27th we should be able to move all the furniture back into place and get back to a relaxing summer!
Last night The Husband said: “I can’t wait to get back to work tomorrow so I can rest a little!”

Have an inspired Monday my friends…

You two are an inspiration to me! We are moving in two weeks, and I’ll need to hold on to that inspiration during the process. I can’t wait to see the finished results of all of your DIY work.
That last photo of your husband is priceless! xoxo Gigi

Sarah Palin, #76 delivers late round knockout punch!!
The Husband, OUT like a light!
Isn’t it funny how one small project leads to 14 others. It always has a domino effect. Y’all really impress me though. I would be hating my life if I were in the middle of this project. BUT I would be loving it once it was all done.
Can’t wait to see all the photos! It’s going to look like a totally different house. And it’s going to look awesome, I’m sure. How much you want to bet that you’ll want a new sofa when your done painting! Ha….. just saying……….. =)…(sorry “Husband”).
Velvet…I haven’t broached that subject w/ him…but the sofa-loveseat-and chair must be replaced at some point… :0
Poor Husband.
I love the new colors – so light and airy. Very soothing. And the picture of Mike crashed on the sofa….priceless!!! I know you’ll be glad when it’s all done. But, it’s gonna be beautiful!!!

I’m pretty sure I see a grin on Mike’s face–albeit slight–it’s still a grin.
Love the new look, Rob! You should name your new space–the feel of it, I mean.
Wow! You guys are ON IT! I can’t wait to see the finished rooms!

Thank you Robin for responding to my questions. I am now inspired by you and took the first step. I went to Home Depot picked up color swatches of the Paint/Primer!
Thank you, Ann
Looks great.
Oh Friend, I feel your pain… Thats all we been doing since we bought the farmstead almost 2 years ago… in the begining it was just me and the kids as hubby was deployed but over the past year especially the last 3 months its been go go go n work work work for us on the home… First the septic was replaced in May… June came the keeping room(similar to yours as in our case had to strip everything because of black mold behind the old paneling) July started us with working on our stripping and putting on a new roof with the help of my brother from Colorado… so I do do do feel your pain and exhaustion. Just think there will be light at the end of the tunnel and when its there you will be surrounded with the beauty you created….
