Happy Monday Everybody! Today’s a big day around here! The good people at Behr Paint have graciously agreed to sponsor a giveaway of Behr Ultra (Paint with Primer)!
I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself! If you’ve been hanging out with me for very long you know I’m in some kind of mad love with this paint.
These shelves for my fun-room are the first thing I painted with Behr Ultra. The Husband was oh so skeptical about the coverage and the fact that the primer is in with the paint…He couldn’t believe the stained shelf was completely covered with ONE coat! About half way through the painting of this shelf my brain nearly went into overload thinking of all the things I could paint.
When we finished the shelves I grabbed the chair you see below…I painted it and well, I’ve been painting almost non-stop ever since…do ya want to redecorate on a budget? Start with paint…
The dinning room furniture...
I used 2 colors of Behr Ultra to do a white-washing technique on this old trunk…
The once-black curtain rods in our little library room re-do...
I painted tables out the waa-zoo…
All the old gold frames on our picture wall…
The entire foyer...(the banister was stained like the moldings.)
The fireplace and the fireplace screen...
The wood blinds in the den…
The TV Cabinet…
The ottoman we made from an old end-table…
The coffee table we made from a dinning room table…
All the walls, moldings, wainscoting and doors in the downstairs…
There are a couple more tables and 2 more lamps but this is getting embarrassing…
It’s safe to say I’ve been on a roll with my Behr Ultra. I’ve always loved to use paint to get a big bang for my decorating buck but even more so now that the primer is in with the paint cutting the labor in half.

The rest of the week we’ll look around the kitchen! I repainted the cabinets, walls, trim and doors and did a fun project with my pantry door…

I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you’ve done with the new Behr Paint with Primer from Home Depot. Sounds like such an amazing product. Love all you have done. I have a few pieces I’d like to redo. omg I can’t believe that u used only 1 coat of paint on those shelves..I painted a creamy white on my daughters bookshelves, and no joke it took 3 coats and probably 4 would have been best. I also have a question, did u use a brush or a small roller ? I have several projects to do around my house so it would be nice to cut the work in half. I am about an hour and 15 minutes away from a Home Depot but it would still be worth it.
I could REALLY use this. Just had inspiration to paint our family room in the house we just moved into. It is a large room and free paint is just what I need. I love the thought of not having to prime over the “Tennessee Orange” that is currently gracing our walls.
Ohh! I can think of lots of projects to do!

Since you started raging on and on and showing us all your home decor goodies, I decided to try the product out myself a week ago… And you aint kidding sister! That paint in primer in one cut my time and arm pain in half. Normally I would do 2 coats primer and 2 coats paint… this time just 2 coats of the 2 n 1..
Now I am using the left over paint and doing a shabby chic redo on an end table that has been giving me the blah’s… Who knows whats next muwhaaa
