We’ve been slowly doing a budget friendly remodel on the kitchen. First we replaced the cheap countertops with granite tiles and added a backsplash. Recently, I decided to paint the cabinets and lighten the walls…
Here’s the finished space…

Remember how it looked just the other day…(Below)
Ever noticed that big projects give birth to little projects?
The kitchen cabinets were the main thing…but there were lots of little projects to be done…
I repainted the little TV table when I did the cabinets…

Made little chair cushions out of a shower curtain!

And remember the kitchen wall before…

I changed the plates and added some paint here and there…

And the pantry doors…(posted HERE)

These projects turned out pretty good! But there was a fail…
Here it is…I had the great idea of re-covering the shades of the chandelier! When I peeled off the paper I discovered the paper IS theactual shade. Woops! I’m going to have to order some…I can’t find this size any where.

All The DIY Projects are posted HERE.

Even though I didnt’ win the paint…
What are the dimensions of your shades? I bought some that look just like them at a warehouse sale thinking I would replace the globes on my fixture in my dining room, but then discovered it’s not the globes I don’t like, it’s the entire fixture! I would willingly give them to you if you would like them. They are 2.5″ across the top, 5″ across the bottom, and 4″ tall. Let me know if they’ll work for you and your shipping info, and I’ll stick them in the mail.
Oh, and I have 5 of them.
Oh wow! I love it!!!!!
Hugs,
Olivia

Robin, I do love your kitchen redo! I like how light and bright it is, yet it still retains a feeling of warmth. The same with your family room. (I’ve been checking out your past posts :*) ) I’m going to be painting an old dresser that was my grandmothers, then my aunts, then my mothers, then mine, then my daughters, and now it’s mine again,,, I’m going to use it as a sideboard in my dining room. I’m so afraid it’s going to look all drippy! But you have inspired me!
