I’m so excited about one of my New Year’s resolutions. It’s the 365 project! Have you heard of this project? It’s a wonder!
You simply take a photo a day for a year, thus your year will be chronicled in photos. Even the mundane, ordinary days that make up what is our life! I’m doing the 365 taking photos of any and everything that has to do with my particular day, but some people do it more specifically. Some take photos of their children every day. Wouldn’t it be amazing to look back and see photos of your baby and how they’ve changed over a 365 day time period? Some do a theme like Home life. Some people are uber creative, look at these…
This is a fun one. He’s done the most creative little robot/creature photos…Check it out HERE
This is a neat project called: The Uniform Project. This creative young woman is photographing the same dress for 365 days! You think that might be boring? Think again!
There are several Flicker groups, here’s the one I’ve joined…Flicker 365
They have some amazing photos from 2009!
Another take on this is the 365 self portraits … this is daunting. You take a self portrait every single day! My niece has been doing this in 2009.
She’s got mad talent and her photo pool on flicker is a delightful way to spend a few moments. Anna’s photos reflect her journey over the past year…and it’s been quite a year for Anna. You gotta take a LOOK!
I’m looking so forward to this. The” every day” is such a wonder. I love the idea of becoming more sensitive to the extraordinary in the midst of the ordinary.
As I look back over my photos from 2009 it’s amazing how my emotions respond…I have a physical reaction to those moments frozen in time. I think this fits right in with living my legacy! Somehow I’m going to incorporate this into my little blog-home, maybe with a monthly mosaic!
What about you, have you got a project you want to tackle this new year???
Ohh, I like this idea. Think about how neat it would be to add pictures to a journal….
What about pictures of people who give daily inspiration? Nature? Surroundings that stir our hearts.
Love it, Rob!
I think we’re going to do a 365 with photos of Elliot. I wish we started at day 1. She’s growing so fast that this should be pretty fun to look back on.

Oh Robin you are speaking to my heart as well! I’ve heard of the self portraits but I didn’t think to expand it to something else. I am going to have to go and think on this… and I am going to check out your links!! Thanks for sharing, I needed a bit of inspiration, and today YOU are it!

This is so neat but I think I would be boring to everyone! I love seeing everyones picture. I will have to think on this one. Pretty neat idea.

Valerie…I think the day to day of life will be the beauty of this project. I know you wouldn’t bore everyone!
Robin, I’ve always wanted to do this, I just don’t know if I have the discipline to do it! – I love the monthly mosaic idea! – so tell me your plan – do you have to upload every day? editing? sometimes editing takes me forever and I’m afraid that will be the ultimate reason that I would slow down…..that and creativity LOL

Cheryl with as much as you post I know you’d have the discipline! (And thanks to your tip about Picnik, I can now do mosaics!!!)
The group I joined has a 3 photo at a time max. So I can upload every 3 days. I take (and I bet you do too) hundreds of photos a month with the blog, I do plan on starting to carry my little cool pix Nikon with me all the time and taking the big camera more places…I may be making too little of a deal of this ! But my hope is the project will really help my “eye” and my camera skills. Editing does take a long time but you probably do a better job with that than me…I don’t really know enough about my photoshop elements program to spend too much time editing!!! 🙂
If you decide to do this pls. let me know!!!!
ok, yes, I decided to give it a go – I set up a quick “private” blog to make myself do it, and so I don’t have to worry about anyone seeing what I’m doing! LOL —-please explain to me how the fickr group works, I’ve never done anything like that – do I upload there AND to my blog???
today is day one……..need to take my picture! LOL

Cheryl…I’m sending you an email!
I’ve thought about doing this for the past few years, but being confined to my home makes it seem impossible. And boring.
I might have to stretch my imagination a little… it would definitely be a challenge…

Gitz … you could soooooo do this! Your creativity knows no bounds. Please think about it!
I’ll think about it, if you promise to help give me ideas! 🙂

I love this idea too! I will have to think of what to take pictiures of, but I am going to try this! NEAT idea! XO, Pinky
I loove this idea. I am craving a creative outlet for the new year. But I only have a point and shoot and no money for a better camera …the editing wouldn’t be so exciting. Btw I Loved Annas! She is fantastic! I looked thru her entire 365 🙂
Great Idea! Anna Gay’s 365…..awesome! If everyone follows through with
this, well………that would be about a trillion 365 pics! JUST DO IT ~ Feel
free to use that line…….JUST TO IT~ : ))
Robin, thank you for such a wonderful idea. I have a genealogy blog and the 365 day project is perfect for family history and for posting ideas.
I loved your post “What’s Up For 2010?” and can very well relate to it. I have many of the same feelings. You have a wonderful blog and I look forward to your future posts.
