Once again my 365 Project continues to surprise me! (Look in the Pull-Down menu under All Things 365 to see past-posts or click HERE )
With the stress of the past month I’m pretty impressed that I kept up with it. But I did!
For April and May I learned even more about my camera. Through my talented friends on Flickr I was inspired umpteen times to “see” things differently. Everywhere I go, every day, I look at things differently.
My Flickr friend Steven Brisson had this wonderful quote up a few weeks ago…(I use the term “friend” in the broadest sense of the term. Steven’s a bit of a rock-star. A super talent really. I’m just an admirer of his work!)
“Look and think before opening the shutter…the heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.” ~Yousuf Karsh
I love this. And over the past 5 months I’m learning…
But also, this project is in the purest sense of the word, a photo-journal of my year. I kid you not, I look back at every single photo and feel what I felt the day I snapped the shot. This can be magical but also kinda sobering. May was a rough month around here…
I’m into my sixth month with the 365 Project and I’m more thrilled with this commitment than the day I started.
Here are my favorites from April…
And here is the whole month…
And then came May…sigh. What a roller-coaster month with Emma’s health issues and her losing her job…but we did find out we’re having another granddaughter and we got to go to the beach with our granddaughter Ellie!
Here are May’s Favs!
And here is the whole month at a glance..
Once again, you can start a 365 Project at any time…
xoxo
Congratulations! I’d forgotten about your project! That is impressive!!

Very fun!! I have often thought of starting a 365 project but just don’t know where I would find the time right now. I know, I know, we find the time to do things we want to. The problem is wanting to do to many things. Right now family, the adoption, work, summer projects, church, and blogging are trumping the camera. Things will change in time.
Thanks for sharing. It is encouraging to see your success!

Great idea! I think I see a reoccurring theme and it starts with BABY! 🙂
Be a rather new grandmother, the little precious one was all I saw in each mosaic! 🙂

No kidding, your May faves brought goosebumps and tears at the same time! Those are just exquisite shots and you should be so proud of yourself. I totally see you, in your photos, and have come to love what you see and capture with your lens 🙂
Beautiful work!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful amazing pictures. I’m inspirted. Learning that I can do the things that inspire me. Just start. Annabel is a senior next year – can you believe it? I am going to get her to do one of these for her senior memories.
Much Much Much Much Love,
Debi
I wish so much there was a way to enlarge your photos so I could really see them! But from what I see, through your eyes, I love it all! XO, Pinky
Hi Robin! Sorry I’m late in seeing this, but the move has been exhausting (as I write this–3 weeks later–we still have yet to receive our belongings!…ugh.). But I’m so glad I did you here, because now I’m able to enjoy what I missed over the month of May in one of your splendid 365 collections! Simply beautiful work–each photo is infused with light, love and your incredible talent. Thank you for the mention, my friend–and congrats on the new granddaughter news! 🙂
Best,
Steven
