You guys know that denim is absolutely in this year…I mean really, denim is always in (for me) …I pretty much only wear jeans and I’m embarrassed to say that I have around 10 denim- type shirts…
But it’s beyond typical denim fabric…it’s that deep indigo color…it’s showing up in everything from throw pillows to chairs and I love it!
I also love a good 5 minute project that can also be used as a gift…gotta a second and I’ll show you how to turn cute little denim panels from the craft store into cute little coasters!
And they’re perfect for spring/summer don’t ‘cha think?
Here’s all you need…
*Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint
*Stamp
* 4 x 4 Denim Panels
*Americana Acrylic Sealer/Finisher
Just apply some paint on the stamp …
And press onto the denim panel in different places…
The paint goes on with a washed effect…a little different with each application….which I liked!
After they dried…
I used this Americana Acrylic Sealer / Finisher to seal the top…
And I’ve been testing it for 2 weeks…the sealer is working!
These are perfect for porch time! And what a great little gift!

Hi Robin!
Not sure I understand…how do these hold their shape? or what keeps them rigid?
Is the denim wrapped around something solid?
They are adorable!! I definitely need to make a set for summer on the patio.
Thanks!
Jo, the denim panels are kinda like little denim canvases …they come that way! So they are sturdy 🙂
Neat idea, Robin! Are the panels from Michael’s?
Judy, YES! I found the panels at Michael’s! xo
I too am a denim person, Robin. And, I love this cute, simple project. xxoo
Robin,
What a sweet springtime addition to a table setting. I see there have been a few questions and I have one as well…does the sealer hold up well with glasses “sweating”on it?
Thank you so much for all your cute ideas!
Tawn, so far – so good! I’ve been using them for a few weeks and they look exactly like they did the day I made them! xo
Robing your coasters are such a fun idea! Jo
From your denim-lovin’ friend, these are adorable! And I also love the terracotta ones
Once again, you blew me away with your never ending creativity!
What a fun, easy and useful diy!
