2012 was one of our busiest years in a long, long time! There were so many projects that I’m exhausted just looking back over the year in blog-posts!
If you’re my new bud, some of these may be new to you. If you’ve been hanging out with me awhile…holy cannoli, can you believe all the CHANGE this past year!!!?????
Gotta minute, let’s look back…
January
We didn’t know we’d end up moving in 2012 so in January we started planning a big remodel for our house on Willow Creek. The website My Deco was a big help as we got everything together!
February
Great Room at Willow Creek Reveal
We finished opening up the great room at the old house on Willow Creek…it was worth all the trouble!
March
Willow Creek Closet Playhouse Reveal!
The Husband built a little closet playhouse for our granddaughters at our old house on Willow Creek. (This was first published in March and later was a repost while I was on vacation in August!)
April
I love a cute dish mat…If you can sew a straight line you can make this little mat!
May
Ch-Ch-Changes…oh so many changes in 2012! By May we had moved! The house on Stone House Lane needed some TLC and The Husband and I were neck deep into another remodel!!! I love this post because he installed the farm sink and re-purposed cabinet doors from an old armoire!
June
June was a big month around the new house at Stone House Lane. Much of the initial remodel came together. We put in a pantry with a Sliding Barn Door, added some creative storage in our Master Bath and finished up the Entryway and the den/great room! So picking just one project for June was hard, so I picked 2 and put in links to another 2 posts! Looking through our projects for June really made me tired…whew.
July
White Chocolate-Cranberry Walnut Cookies ~ Gluten Free Easily!
Since July, I’ve made these cookies nearly every single week! (hence the extra 5lbs) I don’t say lightly that these are the best gluten-free cookies you’ll ever eat…in fact, I nearly left out the gluten free part and just said these were the BEST Cookies period! No kidding. These cookies are ah-mazing.
August
The kitchen was by far the biggest part of the remodel on Stone House Lane. While I’m still tweaking the decorating, in August we felt like it was pretty much done!
September
Closet Playhouse on Stone House Lane
And for the 2nd time in just a few months The Husband built a closet play house for the tiny granddaughters! When we told Ellie we were moving he promised her he’d build another playhouse…so he did! At the new house he had more room so this one is even better than the first!
October
And just in time for the holidays, we finished the playroom! The Husband built quite a few things in here, a cubby for toy storage, a doll bed, dress up storage and a play kitchen! He’s just amazing!
November
Decorating the outside of Stone House Lane
Oh I loved decorating Stone House Lane for Christmas. It’s like a new relationship, living in this new house. We’re getting to know her and discovering what makes her shine.
December
Well it’s a toss up for December…I so love Christmas. Every project was a favorite. 🙂
As I looked back to find my favorite projects, I was completely enveloped in memories. There were threads of stress and worry. And days that stuck out in my mind because they felt so overwhelming. But all in all, as 2012 quietly comes to a close, I’m in awe of God’s grace.
Every year isn’t like that. There have been some years that ended with my head in my hands and my heart broken in a million pieces. In those years I couldn’t get into the coming year quick enough. I wonder, is that where you are?
Praying for you sweet ones, whether ending the year with a smile or through tears that God would open your eyes to how very much you are loved.

I have truly enjoyed following every single project this year, Robin! You and the Husband amaze me with your skills, energy and creativity. I eagerly anticipate each new post just to see what you’ve been up to! Wishing you and the family a wonderful new year, filled with much love and many blessings.
Oh, how you inspire me. I’m making a little “blue” area in my kitchen. I moved a picture I love (girl leading geese) with a blue matte (sp?) over a little country table and put out my collection of antique pitchers (with some blues).
Thank you. I love you.
And tell The Husband that his BFF is oh so inspired with all his handy projects. 🙂 🙂
Thanks for sharing…so beautiful! Happy New Year, Robin!
