Sometimes I like to add a little Mod Podge love to something unexpected! Like the inside of a cabinet!
I loved the outside of the hutch, but I was blowing through project after project that month and I ignored the hidden places. I’ve done this on a personal level so often…working on the outside …lose weight, exercise, buy more shoes…all the while neglecting the hidden; my emotions, my spirit, my creativity …
But this year, I believe I’m to focus on the inside…both in me and in my home…

As far as this little buffet…first I used scrapbook paper and covered it with clear contact paper to make a pretty shelf paper…This worked pretty well!
Then I used my favorite thing, Mod Podge and made a paper-patchwork on the inside of the door…
Strange I know…but Bella likes it!
This was such a fun and easy project and every day when I open the hutch it brings me a tickle of joy and a reminder that hidden things matter.
…I’m going to work more on the hidden things this year…
Love to you my friends…Happiest of Weekends…
Very nice! I like both the colors of your hutch. Your little friend is a cutie too!
Can you believe I’ve never ever used Modge Podge. I own a jar of it. But it just sits on a shelf waiting on me to create something. I need to come up with a tiny project to get me started. If you have any great tiny ideas let me know.
Again, LOVE your blog.

What a great piece, Robin! I love it in the blue and I love your idea of using contact paper over scrapbook paper to line the shelving {lovely paper, too, btw}. I like how you brought in a different lamp for the top and changed out the old window above. Although, I did like the original old window you had up!
You just never stop, do you???!!!! I love that little hutch, the new blue is so pretty!!! Now it also has a very sweet touch on the inside too. Good idea to work on OUR insides. XO, Pinky
Been thinking about working on the inside of my kitchen cabinets . . . maybe a pretty color . . . something to make me smile when I open them. Thanks for sharing!
I recently repainted our bedroom & used Behr’s Ultra Paint with Primer. It was the easiest paint job I’ve ever done! The apint goes on fantastic & covers so well!
It’s just THE BEST!!!!

Oh how cute. I never thought of putting glasses in those spots. We don’t drink alcohol so I’ve always looked over furniture like that. Hmmm, now I won’t. 🙂 So, true about only working on the outside things and not the inside. Great comparison.
Two great ideas that look fabulous. love it.
Robin,
Thank you for your post today! You seem to be just what I needed! Such a subtle reminder. Thank you sweet blessing!
Paula
I really like the colors you use. Very cottagey and comforting.
Robin,
Ooops sorry about the last entry.
What a great idea! I love your choice of paper and love, love, love the photo of your dog studying it! : )

You are just so stinkin’ crafty.
oh, honey. when i was more nimble and able to create, you and I would have had so much fun together doing projects like this! but more importantly, i love getting to be your friend while you work on the projects in your heart.
I didn’t want to comment on the retina post since I don’t need a book, but it was so good, girl.
