Have you guys seen all the different kinds of burlap ribbon available? It’s kinda wonderful in that it makes burlap projects ever-so-much easier 🙂 I made this Burlap Table Runner in about 5 minutes using a couple of burlap ribbons…
I had a piece of 12″ wide burlap ribbon left over from another project and a new roll of ‘natural postcard printed burlap-both of these are from Hobby Lobby.
If you don’t have a Hobby Lobby near you HERE is where you can find the ribbon online …they ship! 🙂
I know you probably know exactly how to make this, but just in case …here’s what I did to make this sweet little runner:
*measure my desired length and cut 2 lengths of the stamped ribbon and 1 length of the 12″ ribbon-
*Pin then sew the stamped ribbon down the sides of the 12″ ribbon, (the layers make the runner a bit more sturdy).
*Fray the 2 end edges…I so love a good frayed edge but unfortunately I forgot to get a picture for you!
You might remember another burlap table runner I did HERE. I have it in the dining room.
Every time I’m in Hobby Lobby and that ribbon is on sale I stock up because you can never have too much burlap ribbon 🙂
I told you last week that I’m in planning-mode for our big Family Fall Party and my new runner is going to fit into my theme perfectly!
If you don’t sew, you could always use stitch witchery(fusible bonding web) instead of a seam!
Sending love my friends
Beautiful project! We never had a family reunion growing up, but I’ve been going to at least two a year since we moved to Kentucky (from where my husband’s family comes).
For the last six years or so, we lived in a small town in South Central Kentucky and last year, Hobby Lobby came to town. For a while I considered getting a job there … but I already spend ENOUGH time in that store. *lol*
I’m throwing a fall theme baby shower in September. This is sparking ideas!! Thank you, maybe a touch of your creativity is rubbing off. 🙂 🙂
Love it! Glad to hear about the stich witchery, since I don’t have a sewing machine! XO
Great idea -thanks for sharing!
How cute is this!!! I love burlap too! I always buy a couple rolls too when Hobby Lobby has them on sale! Have you seen the new fall and halloween ones?….too cute!!~~Angela
