I did a quick little chalkboard wall in the playroom last weekend and I love it very nearly to the moon and back!Remember I told you guys I went to a conference (Haven) a few weeks ago? Frog Tape was a sponsor and gave everyone a roll of shape tape! I’ve used Frog Tape before but never Shape Tape so I’ve been excited to give it a try! Have you ever heard of it? It’s really kind of brilliant, there are three shapes, Chevron, Scalloped and Wave...and you use it like FrogTape to keep your edges clean when you paint. The shape I got was “wave”!
I’ve been wanting to do a chalkboard wall in our tiny granddaughters playroom(posted HERE) and how perfect is the wave shape tape to outline the wall? It was super easy…I just measured from the base boards to get the edge straight, taped a section and painted!
I used chalkboard paint and rolled on three coats with a foam roller.
I’ve never used shape tape so I wondered if the edges would really work and keep the paint from bleeding…
I mean seriously, isn’t this the cutest edging????
I couldn’t be happier with the shape tape, and can’t wait to try the Chevron! And maybe the Scallop 🙂
I was so happy with my edges that I did a couple of other projects with my Wave Shape Tape, I can’t wait to show you soon!
Have a lovely Monday my friends~xo
