And just in case you’re baking for someone who has Celiac Disease or a gluten intolerance …
Tips and Tricks for Making Treats for Someone with Celiac Disease
For those who are so sweet to cook for your friend w/ Celiac…
*Double check EVERY ingredient to make sure it’s gluten free and not manufactured in a facility that manufactures food containing gluten (as there is usually cross-contamination- your labels will usually tell you or you can google!) Many of my recipes include brands that have gluten free ingredients.
*Make certain every pan/utensil/countertop is clean and keep all gluten free food away from foods containing gluten-
*Also don’t handle any food or ingredient containing gluten while making gluten free food…
* Consider sticking to simple recipes…the fewer ingredients the better!
Your friend with Celiac will be so thankful you thought of them- and let them know you too precautions to keep them from getting sick! 🙂
Now, tell me …what are YOU baking this week!?
These all look so delish! My mouth is watering. I want the pecan turtles. Right now!
We just arrived home on Sunday from visiting family for two weeks, so I’m not sure I’ll be doing any baking this week. I did make some delicious fudge for a family Christmas party I attended while in Connecticut.
I agree with Julie that those pecan turtles look delicious!
Merry Christmas sweet friend! May you have a wonderful family Christmas party and be blessed with many sweet moments.
I still want to make the Mississippi mud cookies for a treat. First weekend of the new year treat. lol Thanks for all your tips to help us with fun/family.
