The open den is the first thing you see when you walk into our home, so we enjoy focusing on Christmas in the living room.
Because I’m so delighted to take a peek into other people’s homes through websites and Instagram, I’m hoping that you might enjoy hanging out with me for a minute or two as we look at Christmas in the living room at our house.
Since my kiddos are all grown, I allow myself to have a little fun with some creative trees. The larger tree in the living room is done in a champaign and gold and a touch of rose gold. I also sprinkled soft minty green here and there because it’s one of my favorite colors. With all of the glittery colors, I still kept a rustic vibe…
I think my tree was inspired by my trip to the Biltmore House when I partnered with Balsam Hill to decorate a tree for the Inn at Biltmore Estate. (You can read about that fun experience HERE)
I brought in those rustic elements with acorns, frosty pinecones a few burlap banners…
And this ribbon that has a bit of a tree bark feel…
I brought in that lovely soft green with lambs ear picks to make up my mantel garland…
The wood bead garland stays in place all year because I adore it. Ane adding a few gold fern picks and three mercury glass stars on either side of the television made this part of my living room project quick and easy…
I also added a little whimsy with my library mice… I found mini copies of classic books and as you can see, they’re stocking my library shelves!
These sweet girls came dressed in Christmas plaid so I had to cut and sew them fancy clothes that went along with the Christmas in the living room theme…
This room feels cozy and warm which is good since Mike, the pups, the kitty and I spend so much time here…
Occasionally we even have a few adorable guests like Zuri the pocket beagle…
And during the holidays you’ll find me on Sundays curled up watching a Christmas movie or two…
Next time we’ll take a peek into the dining room, but for now, thanks for spending some time with me my friends- xo~
So warm and cozy Robin, lovely job!! Merry Christmas!!
XOXO,
Lindsey
I always enjoy seeing how you decorate, Robin. The sweet touches you place around your home have always been the ones I look forward to seeing. I just love the cute mice too!!! They are my favorite decoration that I have seen online this year. They bring the bookshelves to life and a smile to your face. xxoo
