Christmas on the porch was a must since it is one of our favorite spaces on Stone House Lane. We added the screen porch as an extension of the living space when we moved into the house in May. The porch isn’t finished…I’ll be painting and changing the green chair covers next year, but in the mean time we spend lots of time out there!
I put the little white tree on the porch and added a few pine cones and white lights…
(Reba-the-Cat spends hours right here watching the squirrels, birds and chipmunks!)
The old table below folds down on both sides making it perfect for two people, I put one side up so four people can sit here. The Husband’s grandmother made this beautiful quilt. It’s perfect for Christmas on the porch!
The centerpiece was quick and easy…I just added fresh fir branches and pine cones to my vintage tray and tucked some rustic trees into the lantern…
I’m going to show you how I did these trees, a 5 minute-$3.00 project, tomorrow!
I wanted to bring simple outdoor elements inside for Christmas on the porch…of course I added a bit of snow in keeping with the snowy-woodland theme of my decorating this year…
A few more branches from our Christmas tree…
***Also, after I took the porch photos, I found this adorable little deer to add to the fun on the porch…I am officially obsessed with deer. My goal is to have one in every room on Stone House Lane 🙂
This is what the pack is doing all day every day since the weather here has been more like September…or early May. According to the weatherman, the pups and Reba-the-Cat have only one more day of porch time before winter comes blowing through the deep south!
~There are only TWO weeks until Christmas my friends…breathe in every moment~
What a blessing to have such a beautiful “room” to enjoy for most of the year! I love the way you have decorated out there – very simple and natural. I totally want to come sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the view! The cold hit here yesterday…..no more balmy temps for the dogs to play outside. But, it definitely feels more like Christmas and we might even get a few snow flurries tonight!
I love how noting goes unadorned or untouched- simply breathtaking! I managed one table so far- but I am thrilled its a bit of Christmas at least 🙂
OH!!!I LOOOOVE your porch!!! I wish we had been able to move in during the warm weather to get our outside areas done but come Spring, watch out:):) Your porch is perfect and I love all the Christmas touches. That deer is adorable!!!!XO, Pinky
Okay, I call the porch! This is my favorite room!! Mine, mine, mine! I love it! I’ll share with the animals.
