Hello from the beach Peeps!
This is the last day of a week full of ‘Best-Of’ posts. We’re coming home from vacay tomorrow and things will get back to blissful normality!
Today I’m posting the first closet playhouse The Husband built at our old house on Willow Creek. Since this playhouse we moved to Stone House Lane and he has done another closet playhouse HERE.
But our love of indoor playhouses started with this one done in a smallish closet in the granddaughter’s bedroom. Let’s have a look!
***
We finished the playhouse!
Remember, it started in the closet of our granddaughter’s bedroom! It was The Husband’s idea because I wanted their bedroom to be so much fun!
I wanted to put up step by step instructions for you…but The Husband is ornery when it comes to giving me details about his process. He heads out for an hour and comes home with a car full of supplies and I swear it’s like magic…everything just comes together!
He made a Dutch Door…I decided to use the custom color that I’ve used here and there all over the house!
Added cedar shingles…
Come on inside!
There are a few shelves and a little oven for our girls…
The Husband…aka: Pop Pop made the cutest little stove.
Elliot loves to peek out of this window…
All the baby girls love the play house…
Elliot…
Lucy Jean…
Hartley…
Sweet Baby-Girl Finley’s too itty-bitty to join in right now, but it won’t be long…
The girls had a little play time last week…and Hartley decided to get even with Lucy Jean for all the times LJ pulled her hair.
And Elliot made some lunch!
The little girl’s and I love the play house…The Husband’s my hero 🙂

So cute and so fun! When I was a little girl, my uncle made a similar house in the basement of their home. It was so much fun to play in!
You did a fantastic job!
This is so, so great! I’m going to pin this so my daughters and friends can see this!
Adorable! Only surpassed by those cutie grand girls!!
This is beyong amazing. “The Husband” is a genius, that stove is fabulous! Love every detail. The GIRLS, however, are the REAL beauties. What a beautiful family you have. XO, Pinky
Just shared this adorable playhouse with a granny friend. I love it!
Every little girls dream. LOVE it!!!
Just AWESOME! You and “the husband” are amazing! What cherished memories this new playhouse will create! Now about that beadboard…Ha! I am guessing we will see how that project goes as well with your talented husband…Blessings and creations!
Ohhhhh, how I love this sweet little playhouse!! I wanna come over and have a tea party!!
Wow! It came out GREAT! Your hubby has a real talent!!! I’m sure the grand-girls will love it for years to come! It is something they will have fond memories of their whole lives! xxoo
It is soooo cute!! I’m sure you stay up there when your granddaughters are at your house now. 🙂 How fortunate you are to have such a handy husband. Bead boarding the kitchen ceiling sounds grand!! I would love to have my kitchen and dining room ceilings bead boarded. 🙂
This is precious!! How privileged are your grandbabies to have their own playhouse?! The cedar shingles are the perfect finishing touch!
this is so adorable! i think you should submit it to your county’s magazine as a DIY spring project. the editor would probably eat it up!
Love, love, love it! You are so very creative and talented, and SO is the husband! I’m in awe of your energy and ability to get a project finished so it can be enjoyed. I think the girls will have years of memories and enjoyment with you, my friend. The girls would love to come play too…even Hannah, who says that this looks like something straight out of a magazine! xoxo
I want to come and play there! I pinned this last night and saw it was repinned dozens of times! It’s decorated so cute and I absolutely LOVE the stove. Let me know when I can come and bring Harper!
Absolutely adorable! I want to come live in the play house!
So Very Very cute! It will create memories they will never forget, what fun!!
WOW! This is amazing! I love the colors and decorations. A little girl’s dream!! I can only imagine the memories that will be made in there. What a special gift to be able to give all of your granddaughters.
That is fabulous, Robin! You and your husband must be a match made in heaven to come up with that beautiful construction and actually, well, construct it! Oh, and those girls are darling, and so are their names. I ever I have another girl, I just may have to name her Lucy Jean!
And you just never know…by the time The Husband gets the new playhouse ready, there might be another granddaughter! 🙂
Love you!
Aack! I’m dying with the cuteness :). I’ve promised Grandson that one day, when Gramma gets her own house, he’ll have a room of his own. Oh, he won’t sleep in there. No, he’ll sleep with me for . . . well, gee, for how long? He has since he was 3 months old. (Yes, I know, I know.) I think I’ve broken that actually. Since Marlon died and I’ve been living with Mom, he hasn’t spent the night.
ANYwayz, I’ve promised him a playroom, chockful of his fav things. And, of course, a special place for arts & crafts. Thanks for the eye candy. Oh, and the playhouse is cute too 😉
Stopping in to pin BOTH of your so very cute play houses. That’s one smart husband, but I have a feeling there is a smart woman behind him.
Bliss
Thank you for pinning sweetie!xoxo
