These coffee filter pumpkins are easy and so pretty!
Remember the coffee filter papers we watercolored for coffee filter flowers and a coffee filter wreath? Well I had some left over and thought I’d try using them to decoupage a pumpkin I had sitting around!
Remember how easy it is to watercolor natural coffee filter papers...
I took the stem off my Styrofoam based pumpkin (from Walmart) and used Mod Podge and decoupaged the pumpkin with the watercolored coffee filters onto the Pumpkin…
Then I added some twine, securing it with straight pins…
And hot glued my stem back on! A decoupaged pumpkin is about as easy as it gets and using those water colored coffee filter papers made me so happy!
Here’s a video that shows you exactly how…
Sending love my sweet friends xo
This is a good way to dull down the orange. I like it and would blend well with your wreath.
This is just precious and I’m so glad you called her a “she.” I felt life coming into her as she was being created!!
A+++++++++ Something even I could do—I think.
Love this idea Robin! I seem to be more attracted to muted oranges this year and I like how this will tone down a “too bright” pumkin! Thank you!!~~Angela
I always enjoy stopping by and seeing what you have created, Robin. This is another wonderful idea! It gives the pumpkin a nice color and some needed texture. As one blog says, “Mod Podge rocks!” xxoo
Robin, I love this! I just need to take a trip to Walmart to see if they have any fake pumpkins. If not, it will be off to Michael’s or Joann’s. Thanks so much for the idea!
A great idea and I really love the twine wrapped around it! I’ve not been a big fan of artificial pumpkins, but this really spruces it up just right. Thanks for sharing.
I have been browsing online greater than 3 hours nowadays, but I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made excellent content as you probably did, the net can be much more helpful than ever before.
Where did get , or how did you make the stem?
Kendra, the stem was on the Styrofoam pumpkin when I bought it! ox
