I’ve been researching craft room organization for my next project…the craft room/office makeover!
Since storage is such an important element of any project room, I think it helps to first make a list of exactly what you have to store, and then plan accordingly.
Last week I made my list and started looking at storage options…I thought you might like to see some of my favorites! Today I’m focusing on craft paint…
I think its’s super cute to tuck your paints away in a clear terrarium ( I heart Organizing ) …but I would need a bunch of terrariums 🙂
Have you seen this from Mad In Crafts ? I love it! She used cheap closet shelves and PVC pipe to make a hanging storage option!
And Clean Mama Blog used a simple box w/ dividers!
But really…really…REALLY! Becky at Infarrantlycreative has the best craft paint storage option of ALL time EVER! She designed this shelf on wheels so it pulls away from the wall and has a secret compartment behind it to hide her ironing board…which is mounted on the wall…ummm, her craft room is amazing.
Soooo, although I have some options, I can’t decide exactly what I’m going to do…Do you have any suggestions?
Sending love sweet friends!
xo
Hi Robin
I love all the ideas!!! now I am going to have to redo my section of my art room where the paint is. I love the terraruim and crate, I think it was some sort of milk crate or soda crate? I have a bunch of those. I may do that. How fun it is to make a room just the way you want. Love it
have fun Robin

Deezie,
I think you’re right about the milk crate!!! I didn’t know exactly what that was! I’d love to see your studio sometimes! and any ideas that are working for you please pass them along!
Have a happy day my friend xo
I certainly know where you are coming from. Our office/ craft room is an absolute disaster!! It is crammed full. I am certainly going to follow what you’re going to do. Hopefully I will soon be able to start. My goal is to purge all that I’m not using.
Marisa, I’m looking forward to purging some old things too…but I have a feeling the new space will make room for some new supplies! ox
I really liked the terrarium idea but that may not be real practical. I will look forward to seeing what you do, organization isn’t my strong suit.
Diana, I loved the terrarium idea too but for me it’s not practical either! xo
I can hardly wait to see what you decide! I love all your pretty ideas but they don’t work for me in Arizona…it just gets too dusty here. It is hard to balance practicality with eye pleasing. My fear is a too sterile space. Can’t tell you enough how much I look forward to your daily posts!
Debbie, I’m having the same issue…balancing practicality with eye pleasing! It’s got to be both!!!! You are so sweet and so uplifting my friend xo
I love the shelf on the wheels!! I wish I had taken more photos of my craft room in our old house but I will have a new craft room soon- we are moving 😉 Post some photos and I will send you some photos of mine as well.
Jen, I love that shelf on wheels too! I can’t wait to see your new space when you get moved! Sending love my friend ox
Perfect timing Robin! I am starting the process of clearing out our art room/laundry room that somehow became a dumping ground during the winter. I’m on a mission to have it more functional and enjoyable and ready whenever inspiration hits. I’ll be tagging along on your journey and hopefully you’ll keep me focused and determined through the tough decisions of what stays and what gets pitched or passed on for others to enjoy.
Diane,
I soooo relate to your room becoming a dumping ground! I went up to my craft room yesterday to work on a project and I was just overwhelmed with the “stuff” everywhere!!! I can’t wait to ‘gut’ that room! xoox
Holy Cow! What incredible ideas!!! And I can’t ever find a pair of scissors. Love how their hung up.
XOXOXO
Julie, Ohhhhh I laughed when I saw that you can’t even find a pair of scissors!!!! I’m telling Ricky! xo
The white shelf at the bottom is to die for. I love it. I had to bite my lip. That is my pick! I miss your blog! I haven’t ‘done’ blog reading in forever; I think it may be time to consider taking it up again.
Nita J!!!!! How happy I am to see you my sweet friend xooxox
I love all the ideas! Now I wish I could just have a craft room!!! One day, maybe!~~Angela
No suggestions here but I sure hope I’d have any of those ideas.
