It’s almost Thanksgiving and I’m busy prepping my food. We go to my sister’s house, so I don’t have any pressure, just fun in the kitchen!
One of the things I always bring is my momma’s recipe for Cranberry Pineapple Relish.
Now I’m not a fan of the gel stuff that comes in a can…I love to add a little a few things to my fresh cranberry sauce! This recipe is really tasty, in addition to fresh
Cranberry Pineapple Relish~Gluten Free Naturally

Ingredients:
*12 oz. bag fresh cranberries
*1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz)
*1/2 navel orange – cut into small pieces
*orange zest from the whole orange
*3/4 cup sugar
*3/4 cup walnuts or pecans – chopped
*1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
Drain pineapple juices into measuring cup- put 1/2 – 3/4 cup pineapple juice into medium pot.
Add cranberries, sugar, orange zest (lightly grate the orange peel into the pot), small pieces of the orange, pineapple and walnuts .
Stir while bringing to a boil.Cook over medium high heat until all of the berries are popped and mixture is thickened.
Cool and serve with turkey & dressing!
