I love air plants for all the obvious reasons, these little guys are so low maintenance, which is why I will always refer to them as ‘guys’. Hummmmm. Anyhoo, they only need air, water and filtered sunlight to thrive, no dirt necessary
And it doesn’t hurt that you can find them everywhere these day since they are super trendy. Take a look at some fun ways people are showing off their little buddies…
This beautiful display is very zen isn’t it?
And how about this cutie for a baby shower favor!!!?
I absolutely love these concrete-look planters with the white stones.
Isn’t this display fun?
Well…what can I say about this except it makes me smile-
This is my favorite…I’d love to have three of these in different sizes…
What a gorgeous tablescape, complete with a little guy at each place setting as a party favor!
And I so love incorporating a tree branch to display the air plants. These last 2 photos are from a wedding. Apparently air plants and succulents are quite popular with weddings these days-who knew?
I ordered 20 air plants a couple of weeks ago and I can’t wait to show you what I’m doing with mine!
Have you ever seen any interesting displays with air plants or have you ever owned one?
And don’t forget to go HERE and throw your name in the hat to have a Kiwi Crate Craft/Activity Crate delivered to your special little person!
I have owned a few in the past but eventually they died:( I do love them though and now want to go get some. LOVE the pear!!!!! That one is my favorite. XO, Pinky
Pinky, wonder why yours perished ???? :0
I have never tried air plants before! I just might have to try one. My favorite is the concrete looking planters. It has that natural look that I like so much.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you did with yours! :0)
Hugs my friend! Eileen
Okay, so Eileen’s never tried air plants before. I’ve never heard of air plants before! Sorta like I didn’t know you could buy a cover for a pillow.
Can’t wait to see what you did with your air plants….maybe built a new room???
Thanks for keeping me informed and teaching me to be artsy-craftsy, even at my age. :-/
I love air plants! Who did you order yours from?
Lou Cinda
LouCinda, I got mine from Etsy – the link is : http://www.allthingsheartandhome.com/2013/02/24/diy-iron-on-transfer-pillows-kiwi-crate-giveaway/
They are in Florida! They were quick and the tiny plants arrived in perfect condition, some were even in bloom!
Let me know if you get some!
xoxo
