I did a quick and easy painted glass candle holder project yesterday because I needed some new candles in my master bedroom!
I’ve done this little painting technique with big glass hurricanes for the holidays, but since I so love using prayer or religious candles from the Dollar Store to decorate (posted HERE) I thought I’d try using them in this project-but you can adapt this to fit any size glass candle holder!
Supplies
*Glass Candle Holder (Mine were from the Dollar Store)
*Lace Ribbon or bigger piece of lace for bigger candles
*Spray paint-I used some Rust Oleum Metallic Silver that I had on hand…
*Spray adhesive-my favorite is Elmer’s Craft Bond
Cut your lace to fit the holder and spray one side of lace with the adhesive.
Then quickly place the lace on the glass holder, pressing gently to flatten.
Spray the glass holder on all sides & let it dry…it won’t take long!
I got impatient and peeled before the paint on the glass was dry so wait for 10 minutes or so …then peel the lace off. (the lace will still be wet)
I used the same lace to repeat the process on the other candles…
Nothing is more relaxing that snuggling in bed with my kindle, a few flickering candles and a cup of sleepy time tea!
(the mirror the candles are sitting on, is my Anthro Inspired Vintage Mirror posted HERE)
The lace makes such a pretty pattern…
These would be pretty on a dressy tablescape or next to the bathtub…
I’m more relaxed just talking about candlelight! Have a relaxing day my friends
xo

I used your idea of the religious candles from last fall I think it was and loaded them in my fireplace. I absolutely love the ambiance they give the room. Plus, they burn a really long time. Thanks, Robin!
