When The Husband and I do a project we like to get it done. All or nothing is usually our motto. But with this move and remodel on Stone House Lane, we’ve just had too many big projects to get them all done at once, so the ‘all or nothing’ mentality just won’t work.
Kinda like in life, sometimes you have to make small changes … until.
Until you have resources for bigger changes. Until the timing is right.
So…even though we aren’t finishing the remodel in the master bathroom until next year, I’m doing small projects right now to help our bath feel serene and to make it functional.
So far I painted the walls this gorgeous Behr Paint color: Pensive Sky, really it’s the best blue I’ve ever used. Soft and muted with a bit of gray. I love the color. Then we added an armoire’ to help with storage issues. (HERE)
(I’ve had questions on the color of the armoire’ and it’s a custom match from Behr Paint, but if you like it, try a sample of the Pensive Sky…it’s very close)
Finally, this past weekend we added some of my Anthro Inspired Vintage Mirrors ( Tutorial HERE ) that I originally used in the master bedroom in the old house…
I like the way they look over the tub.
In a few months there will be a claw foot tub right here…
We’re buying this one from some good friends who did a remodel on their lake house, it won’t go in for awhile but that’s okay.
Because the little changes we’re making make a difference…
…in life and in our projects.
xo
~Prayers for all of us to be encouraged to make some little changes today my friends~
Pensive Sky! I think I’ll name my next child this. Beautiful. And I love the idea about the mirrors…would would so well over my claw foot tub.
XOXOXO
I love the claw foot tub. It reminds me of Saturday night baths at my Grandma’s house. Baths every saturday with my sister. Enjoy making memories of your own in your new/old tub. Grand babies will love taking baths at grandmas.
WE will have a soaker tub at the new house and I imagine it loking just like yours. I know you will LOVE having the claw foot though. It sure is a PURTY one:) Love and prayers to you today! XO, Pinky
Pensive Sky looks like a perfect color for a bathroom. It is serene and relaxing as far as colors go. And, the mirrors look like they were made for that wall. When we make small changes instead of big ones all at once, we are better able to see if it is going to work for us or not. If it didn’t, we can then choose to go back to the way things were before, and try something different versus changing it all at once.
I read this quote once that says, “Life is a cinch by the inch, but by the yard it is hard.”
Have a great day! xxoo
Robin,
I love all the things you’re doing with your new house. Now,I have to find a place in mine for some Pensive Sky. How pretty!
When you get a minute, would you PM me your new address, please?
Blessings to you, dear friend.
