Fall is my favorite season. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the seasons, but one of my first memories is my Gramma telling me that autumn was her favorite season. And pretty much anything Gramma loved, I loved. Books, chocolate frosting, “taking breakfast out on the porch” and of course autumn.
Sometimes summer’s end, leaves me a little disoriented…but no worries because I always find my sense-of-place in autumn.
So, with all the love I have for fall, I want to welcome you to my little home tour.
The anticipation is electric…I feel almost celebratory when I tuck away the shells and starfish and pull out my fall wreath.
There are actual tingles in my tummy when I see the first real pumpkin in stores… I load up my cart with those chubby little orange smile makers… because I’m truly-madly-deeply in love with all-things-autumn…
This fall, besides those chubby orange-smile makers, I’m keeping my palette more neutral…
Softer…A little bit mellow, like snuggling back in bed on a cold autumn morning to read just one more chapter…
Still I have to include the rustic elements that I love so much…
Book pages were my inspiration this year. I’ve done a few projects with old pages…I have them linked in All-Things Autumn at the end of the post-
I’ve used these tall arrangements on my mantle for the past 2 years, every year I take away and/or add a little something…do you do that? A small change can bring a big return…life lesson in there somewhere, I think…
I will be using adorable woodland creatures this fall and throughout the Christmas season…with that in mind I made a fox-friend. (this will be on the DecoArt Blog…I’ll let you know when in case you might like to make one too)
We’re keeping it simple on the screen porch, adding just a couple of pumpkins …the trees just outside the porch are about to give us all the autumn splendor we can handle…
And Is there anything more lovely than dried Hydrangeas…
In the kitchen, I’ll add some scrumptious white pumpkins just as soon as I see some-but for now, I’ve just added a little cuteness happening in the coffee corner…Bindi says ‘come back soon friends’…
Thanks for hanging out with me sweet friends xo

Hi Robin, As always I love your entire home; I didn’t grow up loving fall/autumn but I sure do now. Somehow, or maybe I’ve just forgotten, I didn’t realize you have a Bichon. Of course, that has added to my love of your blog, your home and you! Your girl looks small too; Hunter is pretty small but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in love.
