Are you thinking about putting together your fall mantel in the next week or so? I started mine last week and thought you might want to take a peek!
I’ve told you before that I think one of the biggest decorating challenges is having a TV over the mantel and still maintaining a beautiful focal point in the room. Our new (old) house has a large stone fireplace and that huge TV so my mantle decorations tend to get lost! With that in mind, I added height on either side of the TV and layered fall elements on the mantle to bring attention to the decor…
Every year my decorating is just a little bit different than the year before! Do you guys do that, change it up? I added a few picks to the tall arrangements on the either side of the TV…I got these great galvanized containers and the picks at Hobby Lobby...I love the containers, they remind me of a French flower bucket…
And when you start with a couple of inexpensive leaf garlands and add some fall picks your fall mantel looks beautiful without spending a ton of money. We always have candles and lights in the fall and through winter, the mantel glows at night with the LED lighted picks and the grapevine sphere lights…
I did a little video on my Youtube Channel that shows how the mantel came together from naked to warmed up for autumn…(this is not because you guys need me to show you how to decorate, it’s because some of you might be like me and enjoy decorating with friends!)
Sending love as always~xo
WOW, you rock! You even make movies and you are a natural in front of the camera! I love your cutie on the ottoman 😉 sleeping away! The mantel turned out so pretty!
Julia, isn’t the pup so cute!? Thank you friend xo
Pretty, pretty I really like the containers. The selection of picks are wonderful, I always have problems putting them together not sure why. Oh well, you did a great job.
Diana, I have a hard time choosing them! There are so many pretty ones at the store! xo Thank you friend
Beautiful mantle! I finally started get my fall things out yesterday too! You give such wonderful inspiration! Thank you!~Angela
Angela, isn’t it fun to pull it all out and have a look at your inspiration!? xoxo Enjoy!
I could watch you and learn all day long!! This is so much fun and I’m so stinkin’ proud of you!!! You’re a natural TV star, Robin.
I don’t have a mantle–just a wood burning stove. Any suggestions?
XOXO Sending love right back to you.
Julie , decorate above your big window behind your table (am I remembering right???) And on your coffee table (bet you do that already!) xooxox
You’re remembering exactly right! Thanks, Rob.
Robin,
I love the mantle…the height of the containers is perfect! I am inspired and will go to the basement and
gather my fall decoration boxes! In NC there is a nip in the air in the early morning and late evenings…so fall is around the corner!
Have a blessed day!

Sharon, thank you for being you! So encouraging and gifted at making people feel valued …sending love my friend xo
Love your tutorial! I really like the idea of the tin containers. I have a large collection of tin cans in my garage and this gave me an idea of how to them. I may try hot gluing a few together to get the height I need. Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Fall!
Pam, I love the idea of combining the tin cans! Happy Fall to you too my friend xo
Robin, Love the mantle. The owl is a fun part of it as well. Happy fall my sweet friend.
