Here’s a picture of the breakfast room last May when we moved into Stone House Lane…I love the brushed nickle pendant that hung over our small table…
But when The Husband finished his DIY Farmhouse Table, that little pendant had to go. I’ve been trying to come up with ideas to replace the little brushed nickle pendant…
The light had to be bigger but not too big because this breakfast room is long but not that wide. It also had to bridge the gap between a light and bright kitchen area with brushed nickle fixtures and our flooded with light-but just a tad rustic den. Also we didn’t want a heavy light fixture obscuring the view out onto the screen porch! We love those double glass doors…
I looked and pinned a bazillion lights but here were the front runners…I like the graceful dome shape of this one …
Armonk Chandelier from Pottery Barn
And although this is really different, I kinda love it!
Pottery Barn Greenhouse Chandelier
Home Depot Barcelona Chandelier I like this one but it’s a bit too small…
And I considered an Island type fixture like this one: the Thyme Chandelier from Joss & Main
Since my kitchen is bright and light I thought…maybe a white chandelier would work… This one from West Elm was in the running…
Here’s another one that’s super unique… from Ballard Design ...how delightful!
This photo from House Beautiful caught my attention with the brushed nickle lighting in the kitchen (because I have brushed nickle schoolhouse pendants in the kitchen)and the heavy wood light in the breakfast room…this light would transition well with my more rustic den…stunning isn’t it?
And look at this match from Ballard Design
Here’s another kitchen that has brushed nickle pendants in the kitchen, but this one has a black chandelier over the farm table…(Houzz)
I found this light from Lowes online that I really love…What a graceful chandy but the iron-look finish keeps it from being too sissy!
And this one from Ballard Design also has that graceful silhouette
Which one do you like? Can you guess which one I picked???
I’ll show you tomorrow!
