I saw these adorable JCrew like flowers on Such Pretty Things. Jessica’s flowers were so beautiful and she put hers on a tank top. Please take a look at her gorgeous blog. This woman has a way with a camera and there are just tons of such pretty things!!! I promise you’ll be inspired.
I thought I’d give it a try on this delicious teal spring sweater I got last year. I had some thin teal fabric so I didn’t even have to buy any!
First you simply make a pattern. I would have shown you my pattern but it was just awful! Anyhoo, then cut our 6 or 7 flowers.
Stack them on top of each other and pinch the center and make a bunch of stitches!
Then add a few beads. I used the same thread without ever tying it off until the beads were attached!
I added a pin and waalaa!
Notice the edges of the flower are frayed? I encouraged this by pulling some of the fibers out. The gentle fraying makes it all the better to me!
These could be used on your purse or on tee shirts too! Maybe I’m just weary with Winter and ready for Spring flowers!
