I was scheduled to post on food today. But I just couldn’t. I’ve been watching CNN where Dr. Sonjay Gupta treated a 15 day old baby with a head injury. Her mother was killed …
And a woman who stared into space one moment and screamed gut wrenching cries the next moment…she lost her 4 children.
The little 11 year old girl pinned under concrete, crying for someone to get her free…she’s been there for 2 days…
The loss and devastation brings me to my knees.
I’m going to link to two of my most trusted charities. They both are on the ground in Haiti working to help.
Samaritan’s Purse~ Billy Graham’s son Reverend Franklin Graham~”providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world…”
Compassion International~”Releasing Children from Poverty in the name of Jesus”
Love to each of you…
Thanks for sharing. God will Bless you.
I feel the same way- It’s all that’s on my mind!

Robin,
Thanks for the links. Our hearts and prayers go out to Haiti. The need is so enormous but I know that every little bit helps. Thanks again.
It is horrible. I’ve had to walk away from the tv. Thank you for these links.
BTW, I am in love with your blog design. It is fun and relaxing at the same time.

Thank you Alisa.
I can’t even begin to imagine the hearbreak and heartache going on there. It is so awful but what a reamarkable people: saw last night people singing and praying praise to God. I don’t know how they do it. Thanks again for the links. As I ate my cereal and fruit this morning I thought of all the people who may not even have WATER yet! How can that be in this world in 2010???? God bless them all.
I saw the news clip of the little 11yr old girl. It made my heart hurt. Every photo I see of Haiti makes my heart hurt. I just cannot even imagine.
I have donated thus far to actionaid and Unicef. I am more then sure I will be donating more. Anything I can give to help.
I am a Reservist in the Air Force and am on ‘alert’ to deploy to haiti for the ‘cleanup’ and Rescue effort within the next week or two. I am nervous. I want to help so bad. I have a 2yr old son who is the world to me. I do not know what I will do when I see all of those children down there. I have a soft spot for children.
I am just so saddened by all of this. The people of Haiti will be in my Prayers!
Bless your compassionate and tender heart, Robin. I agree that these two organizations are among the best at what they do and I applaud your efforts to make others aware of them.
Seeing all the hurt and heartache suffered in Haiti should make all of us reflect on our many blessings…and reach out to those who are in need with the real love of Christ – non-judgmentally, sacrificially and wholeheartedly.
