I love party favors and Halloween Party Favors are especially fun!
When I heard that my friends were throwing a virtual Halloween Party, that would include ideas for everything you need to throw your own Halloween Party, I asked if I could do the contribute some favors! ‘Cause when you leave a party at my house I love for you to take home a little something!
You guys know how much I love owls and a few years ago, my niece Lauren brought these cute owls to our fall family party and I’ve been wanting to do them ever since!
They’re super easy!
Here’s What You Need!
*Moon Pies
*Oreos
*Candy Corn
*M & M’s
*Baking Chocolate
*Skewers or Sucker Sticks
*Sprinkles
*Halloween straws (optional)
Everything for the little owl’s face is “glued” on with melted chocolate…I used a knife to score and cut triangles out of the Oreo cookie top for he ears… *( There’s a quick video at the bottom of the post in case you want to see me put one together!)
I love the little owls for the kid’s Halloween party favors, but I couldn’t forget the adults! If you have a Halloween party on the Saturday before Halloween or even on Halloween night you might want to consider sending the adults home with a little favor to kick off the next season …Thanksgiving.
I’m actually giving these as party favors at our big fall party coming up in a couple of weeks…They are little notes and pencils to write down things we’re thankful for over the next month. My idea is that during the month of November my friends and family who are coming to my Fall party, can take a few seconds every day and jot down one or two things every day that they’re thankful for.
Thanksgiving day, maybe before the festivities begin, like over coffee, they can look back over their list and relive the gifts they’ve been given over the past month…
I found these wonderful branch pencils at T J Max (Marshall’s and Home Goods also has them). The paper I made from brown paper bags cut and tied together with twine. I added a leaf to some of them made from the watercolored coffee filter papers (easy tutorial HERE).
The moment my head hits the pillow on Halloween night, I’m ready for the Thanksgiving holiday, so I like the idea of sending my guests home with a small gift to usher in the Thanksgiving season.
Of course for the kids it’s all about the treats, and these Moon Pie Owls will be a perfect take-home favor after I slip on a plastic bag and tie them with colorful ribbon!
Sending love my sweet friends…here’s a quick video of the little owl party favors! xo
Those owls are just too cute!
Julia, thank you sweet friend xo
Can I become one of your granddaughters????
I love your party favors! The owls are adorable and you know kids will absolutely love them. The pencils are so gorgeous and I think I need to make a trip over to Marshalls and Home Goods!
(I love your little black kitty pumpkins, too!)
So happy to be on the tour with you!
Thanks so much Julie! Hope your virtual party day is going great! xo
These are awesome favors! Can I come to your party for real? I mean…moon pies! Yum. The pencils are gorgeous too.
Loving this virtual Halloween Party today!
Shannah, come on over honey! Thanks for stopping by my friend xo
I love your decorating style, especially your use of natural elements. I wish I lived closer to craft stores, but until recently it was a 170 mile trip to Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Now I only have to travel 65 miles to Joanne’s Fabrics, so you see I appreciate your style of using what is handy in one’s environment. Your Halloween treats are so clever.
So fun and thoughtful your Halloween party favors are, Robin. A sweet treat and those pencils. Very nice.
Cheers!
Fabulous! As always….
