My ikat inspired pumpkin is my favorite pumpkin in the history of ever. You know how much I love soft less saturated colors and this little pumpkin fits all my criteria…
Bindi loves it too…maybe she thinks it looks a little like the puff of white she sees in the mirror…
I started this process by painting some of the (funkin) in a creamy white…Behr MARQUEE Cameo White to be exact…and a dreamy blue/green… Behr MARQUEE Dayflower to be exact…When those dried, I added a little Behr MARQUEE Folly and…
Let the paint dry between layers and then almost in a dry brush manner, create a pattern with the next color- I used three colors in all… Cameo White , Folly and Dayflower.
It takes a little practice and you might have to paint over it a few times, but eventually you’ll come up with a pattern you love…After much examination, Bindi agrees…
And really, if you want to soft color-ikat-inapired pumpkin…I’ve got you covered 🙂
I asked Bindi if she liked the traditional orange pumpkin or my ikat pumpkin the best…I think you can tell what she said… “Seriously? “
It’s my favorite too Bindi…how about you, do you like to try different things with your pumpkins? If so I’d love for you to tell me about your favorite and post a picture on my FB page! xo Let’s see your non-traditional pumpkins!!! xo

Thought about you yesterday in Publix when I noticed for the very first time that the pumpkins were shiny. I thought, Robin must be here somewhere polishing the pumpkins!
