Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues…
I can’t get it out of my mind, the message on the last tee-shirt Sara, Gitzen Girl, chose to wear.
The one she was buried in.
It’s not about me
That’s what it said.
One last opportunity to do what Sara did best: point to Jesus.
Sara lived her last years in constant pain and constant joy. The theme of her life, Choose Joy, is powerful, especially considering her physical condition. And it makes me wonder how she did it.
Perhaps a key for Sara was living with her focus firmly on Jesus first and others second.
When I said I can’t get that phrase out of my mind I was misleading you. Actually, when I first heard about Sara’s tee shirt I felt like God took a branding iron and burned the words into my consciousnesses. I think of it, that tee shirt-those words, a thousands of times a day.
When something is this insistent on having my attention I suspect it’s a God-thing.
Usually over time, God continues speaking.
I’m listening Father…
Love to you Sweet Friends
I’m still counting gifts:
922~God speaking through the words on a tee shirt & a life well lived.
