I mailed out the prayer bracelets that some of you asked for after reading the story behind them. (HERE).
My prayer for these humble little bracelets is that every time we see them on our wrists we remember to whisper a prayer…over and over throughout the day, our focus gently turned towards the One who made us…over and over whispered prayers of thanks, healing prayers for a friend, prayers of provision for another, prayers of deliverance for someone else, prayers for a stranger …
Focus shifted until even in the busy moments my focus is fixed on Him.
Praying without ceasing until my very life is a prayer.
I’m posting this (old) song by Keith Green…Make My Life A Prayer To You because it gives words to the desire of my heart. One line from the song is: … “it’s so hard to see if my eyes are on me”
Internal, self centered focus keeps me from living a life of prayer.
If you have time, maybe listen for a minute…
~Sending you love today my sweet friends~
***UPDATE***
There has been so many of you requesting a prayer bracelet that I’ve had to put the offer on hold until we catch up!
If you’d be interested in making one, HERE is a link to a tutorial.
Thank you note is in the mail! How I love this bracelet.
I wonder if the number of knots is significant?
I’d forgotten this beautiful song. I love it!
No other way to have joy but to pray. And praise. And pray. And praise.
XO
Julie, I’ll have to ask Brother Mark, but for me: sometimes I touch each knot and pray for different people on my list, like maybe the knots represent my requests. I think next time I reach down and touch the knots I’ll make every knot a prayer of gratitude xo
Thank you for sharing with us and reminding us to remember to pray in a distracting world! I’m emailing you! Love……
Diana, got your email 🙂 xo
Robin, I did receive the bracelets. Thank you! I have been wearing mine through thick and thin:) How appropriate to remember to lift our prayers through thick and thin. Funny, as I completed a run yesterday I wondered if I would or if I could wash this braclet that is weathering the storms…cleansed, now there is a prayer. Thank you my friend.
Tom, I frequently get mine wet so I think you’re fine to wash it 🙂
Robin,
Thank you again for the prayer bracelet and for the inspiration you give others.
xoxo
