I bought my pumpkins early this year 🙂 And today I did a quick video on making pumpkins shine! Because when you buy your pumpkins in early September and you want them to last until at least November 1st, you pretend you want them to shine, when really you’re just looking for a way to keep those suckers from caving in on themselves! I tried a couple of things that I’ll tell you about in the video and I’ll let you know if they work! 🙂
***UPDATE–> my pumpkins lasted well into November! The stem came off of one of them and the chipmunks proceeded to nibble it, other than that though…they held up great***
Sending love my friends
xo
Looking forward to the tour and excited about shining my pumpkins this year. Never thought about it before but they look so much better! Thanks for the tip.
The blog names themselves are sooo inviting. Can’t wait to see the homes behind them.
And Robin, I must confess…I’ve never ever washed a pumpkin. Or thought about washing a pumpkin. No wonder mind don’t last! Ohhhh, the things I learn from you.
Julie, please don’t tell The Husband’s BFF that I washed a pumpkin, he’ll laugh me out of the family! ox
Thanks for the tips . I never thought to treat them. I just always hope for the best lol. Will try this for sure- and get a pumpkin soon.
Oh goodness yes- will love to see if your tips work! It seems we’re lucky in October if we can get a couple of days out of our pumpkins- maybe you will be able to help all of us northerners out!
Vicky, Is it because its so cold that your pumpkins don’t last??? I thought the heat would be harder on the pumpkins! xo
Love this idea, and I hope it works! I’m enjoying your videos. It’s nice to see the person behind the blog–makes it more friendly. And you have such a sweet voice!
Marie, thank you my friend~ have a wonderful day xo
How fun!! We’re used to seeing everyone’s homes at Christmas so I am looking forward to the fall tours. So happy and excited for you to be on the list!! 🙂 That’s awesome for BH&G to team up with y’all too! 🙂
I enjoy watching your videos so much, Robin! Thanks for the tips on pumpkins. Also, looking forward to the Fall Home Tour. Sounds like fun! xxxooo
