Organizing the storage room was on my “list” for February!
Oh the shame of a project running two months behind! I’m telling you, I couldn’t get motivated to tackle that storage room! Finally a couple of weeks ago, The Husband moved all his tools down to his new workroom and I threw away TWO contractor bags FULL of junk!!! When we first moved to Stone House Lane, I called that room The Paint Room. Here’s how it looked last May…
But over the months that room caught all the “stuff” nobody wanted to deal with! And with The Husband’s tool box out of there, I have lots more room!!!
I don’t normally use bright colors on the walls but I thought my little storage room off the garage would be the perfect space for two of my favorite happy colors! These are two of Behr Paint 2013 Color Trends:
I’ve been wanting to try horizontal stripes for a few months…I love it! In this storage room, we mainly keep all the gardening tools, all the paint and paint supplies…Our four year old Ellie loves to help PopPop with yard work so she has her very own rake and shovel…
In the past few weeks I can’t even tell you how many Terra Cotta pots and saucers I’ve been “aging” with paint…(posted HERE) This storage room is the perfect place to do small paint projects like my little pots and saucers!
The opposite side of the little room is wall to wall shelving…not really pretty but oh so functional!
The pegboard wall is full of yard/gardening tools. Don’t cha love a pegboard wall?
You know my goal is to do one organizing project a month for 2013, while I am late showing you the storage room, I did do a project in March…the puppy room! (A little room where our pups stay when we aren’t home!) Soooo, having done 3 organizing projects this year, I’m actually still on track 🙂
And, I know exactly what I’m going to do in April…whew!
Have a color me happy kind of day my friends!
Can I ask you to look over in my sidebar and LIKE my new facebook page for All Things Heart and Home? Oh thank you for those who have already helped me out with this 🙂 xoox
