Reba is healing. Slowly.
On Tuesday, she had a few bad hours when her pain meds wore off and I really think her mastitis was the biggest problem. The sad thing was that she went under a table and kinda moaned and wouldn’t let me near her. She wouldn’t take her antibiotics. Wouldn’t eat. I called the Dr. and was planning on going to get more meds early Wednesday but when I went to check on her Wednesday morning she had eaten the food with the antibiotics and she was purring and letting me love on her. I stayed with her much of Wednesday and I think the little thing is getting a bit better. I won’t go into detail but the Dr. told me she’s never seen anything as bad as Reba’s mastitis…poor little girl.
Here’s her set up in the basement…
She’s letting me get close and love on her lots…
I thought she would hate the carrier after I trapped her in there but she seems to feel it’s a safe place…
After all this little one has been through, this once feral cat is more tender and loving towards me today than ever before…she’s teaching me something about me and God. Something I think, that has come straight from His heart to mine via Reba…our little survivor.
I actually did something creative that I’m going to share next week. I may be healing too…slowly.
Reba looks like such a sweetie and I am so glad that both of you are healing, Robin!

Robin, in the first pics of Reba, her eyes were cobalt blue??
Glad she is healing~.
I love it, Rob! She looks like a “regular” cat. Like she purrs and is used to being loved on and taken care of. What caught my heart is that she has “regular” surroundings–fit for a queen. And when things looked hopeless, she decided to mosy on over to her food and Rx. Beautiful.
Your last line is my favorite.
She is such a beauty! Aren’t cats a blessing? Glad to hear she’s doing better!
I cannot tell you how many times my kitty’s & I healed together thru many walks of life … bless you both. TTFN ~Marydon
She is a beautiful cat! How is she with Mike these days? Or are his allergies just too bad when she is enclosed like she is? So sweet to see how much she trusts you and you her. Also glad to hear her body is healing and at the same time so is your heart!

When you look at that sweet little face in the last picture, to me it is the face of trust. She knows now that you are trying to help her. And I know that God is TRYING to help us, we have to get out of His/her way and let it happen. Have a better day…..Pinky
Sweet baby!!!!!! You have such a kind heart, Robin!

What??? Reba’s metastasis? Somehow I missed this. Robin, she looks so healthy… Oh…She looks so loved. Will have to show this post to MaBWA.
Like I said before, you have the heart of a Nurturer.
love our Reba…how did you find this post!!! ox
That’s really strange. The post is from 2009, I read it this afternoon and thought Reba was sick now! I have no idea how I found it. Weird. I was just trying to catch up on the last three posts–thought this one came to me in my inbox. Maybe not??
