I painted numbers on some of my ‘aged’ terra cotta pots. If you’ve been hanging out with me you know how much I love, love, love terra cotta! HERE is a post showing an easy technique I use to give new terra cotta an oh-so-lovely aged patina like these…
I have loads of terra cotta flower pots and saucers and I’ve painted all of them to look aged, but the other day after The Husband put up my Pallet Window Shelf (posted Here), I thought I’d paint numbers on my little pots that live in the kitchen window. I didn’t have a stencil with the font I liked so I printed off numbers, cut them out and traced them onto the pots with a pencil.
Then using a flat brush and a dab of black craft paint I painted inside the lines…say what you will, I don’t mind staying in the lines 🙂
After the paint dried I lightly sanded the numbers so they blended better with the paint already on the pots…
And I used 1, 4 & 3, because you know, 143 is another way to say I Love You!
Soooo, 143 my friends!
