Is your Christmas decorating budget stretched a little by this point in the season? No worries! I’ve got a budget friendly – easy little project that you might like…Paper Roll Ornaments!
These have been around for a long time and they’re a perfect project for older kids…you know you’re gonna need some projects when the little ones are on holiday!
Here’s what you need:
*Toliet Paper Rolls
*tiny pearls or beads (for the center of the star)
*Ribbon/tinsel or bakers twine for hanging
Cut your paper rolls in pieces. For the star : you’ll need 8 total pieces- 4 of those piece will need to be cut at one end and trimmed a bit to make them smaller (see photo of star)…
Using metallic paint…
Paint the inside and outside of each paper strip…
Then with your glue gun, glue the strips to make a star and add tinsel or ribbon to hang your little ornament! (To add a little sparkle, I put a coat of Decou-Page on my ornaments and sprinkled glitter over them & glued a pearl to the center!)
Wanna make something besides a star? A wreath is easy, just glue painted strips covered with decorative tape together to make a wreath…
They would be so cute on the front of presents too!
Have you made any ornaments this year and if so, tell me what you made!?
